“Over a number of years we have stayed at lots of different hotels in India ranging from 2 star to 5 star and the Oshin Hotel in Kalpetta was the best for us. The standards of hygiene were excellent (no bugs in sight), all areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and whatever we asked for e.g. iron and ironing board, extra coat hangers, more towels etc, were produced in moments. What makes this hotel extra special are the staff, every single one of them whether it was a housemaid, reception……

“The rooms are not as shown in the images. The cottages were very dingy and visibly worn out and unkept. Common areas seem to no be getting any attention. They have an on-site restaurant that does not have any functioning staff or even a full menu. Table tennis table was broken and there were hardly any other amenities.”

“Das Resort ist wundervoll! Die Aussicht auf den Chembra Peak, der Garten bzw das Resort-Gelände, das Essen und vor allem das unglaublich tolle Personal machten meinen Aufenthalt besonders! Thomas, der Manager, liest den Gästen jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab und ist so nett. Die weitere Damen und Herren sind aufmerksam und nett! Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte ein bisschen Schliff gebrauchen. Das hat meinen Aufenthalt aber in kleinster Weise negativ beeinflusst.”

Accent on on-site activities is justifiable; surrounding attractions outside the property, while famous, are incredibly crowded and congested and better to enjoy the excellent ambiance, service and cuisine and superb cabin rooms drenched with birdsongs!”

“We stayed two nights in this really beautiful place, embedded in lush surrounding. It was so peaceful! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We went with on a morning walk in the surrounding forest, guided by a very talented member of the staff who could show us lots of things! There was also good spa and a restaurant which served all kind of food. The pool was also nice. The place is fantastic, we really recommend a visit there!”

“It was a nice stay at Adrak. Thanks to their courteous and friendly staff! This property is surrounded by forest, so only nature lovers would enjoy it the most. The staff was helpful. The food served was tasty. We encountered a herd at a safe distance. ”

“It was an amazing experience staying at the Vistara property. The staff was cordial and we were well attended to. The property was well maintained and the view from the resort is breathtaking! ”

“Swimming pool was not well maintained. Despite calling them the cleaniness was not good. Bed covers were soiled and we had to ask them to get those replaced.”
