“The title of the listing, "Spacious cozy retreat, off the beaten path close to all Pittsburgh attractions" is a perfect description for this home. The location is super quiet in a good way. No highway noise, no loud neighbors, almost too quiet ;) Plenty of off street parking is on site which was a big plus for me. We didn't interact with any of the neighbors though a number of them waved as they drove or walked by. Definitely a welcoming environment. While it is 'off the beaten path' it is……

Overall, my experience was quite positive and exceeded my expectations—until the final night of my stay. I woke up to find my room filled with smoke, which was quite alarming as it seemed to hang like a cloud over my head. “Perfect location if you want to experience downtown Pittsburgh. Comfortable and clean. Within walking distance of The Strip and the Train Stop. The only thing that was disappointing was that the windows weren't clean so we couldn't see outside very well. ”

“Our host, Tom, was terrifically communicative and responded promptly to any emails and questions. The apartment is very spacious and airy. It is comfortable, well appointed, and even has soft towels! (rare in rentals, I find). My only caveat, and this has to do with my lack of knowledge of Pittsburgh and not any fault of the property or host, is that I pictured it to be in more of a neighborhood that has stores and restaurants in the immediate vicinity (it is in a residential area).
