Spent 1 night at this property. The neighborhood is nice, a bit north but you’re far from the downtown core and have easy access to the transit systems and restaurants. The room was nice, big and luminous. The major downside of the experience was the check-in which took approx. 40 mn as there was lots of people, only 2 employees who had to deal with that in addition to overbooking situation. I do not know if this was a one time experience due to the concert and the culinary event but It was crazy seeing people being told that they didn’t have a room while they booked in advance and you basically had to pray that your reservation wasn’t gone into oblivion. This might have been brought up from past comments but that mandatory 89.95$ charge makes no sense, it looks like a money grab because tbh I never saw the water bottle that they mentioned were included and I wasn’t interested in the breakfast, yet I couldn’t opt out of it. You can clearly see that there has been a major change at this hotel which is affecting the experience lately. Hope that it’ll be better in the future but if you’re planning on going, really hope for a good experience as it’s not guaranteed.
