Simple and comfy apartment in excellent location
This apartment is exactly as advertised. It is spacious for a one bedroom with a decent sized kitchen, a dining room table and a cozy living room area with a smart TV that allowed us to log in to all our different streaming services. The king-sized bed is quite comfortable. The apartment is in an older building with cast iron heaters, so if you aren't used to those, be warned they can be noisy, but they do keep the apartment toasty warm in the winter.The location is excellent. Only a block from 53rd street where there are numerous restaurants. Around the corner from Trader Joes and a short walk from Whole Foods and Target. Additionally, it's close to UChicago campus, the riverwalk, and the Museum of Science and Industry.The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. Overall, delightful stay for a week in Hyde Park when we had business at the university but also some free time to explore.
