The proprietor was very nice and is a good soul. But, for $300/night (the highest per day price I paid in all my many travels in the U.S.), I expect nigh perfection. I didnt get it. The 3rd floor unit we were in regularly delivered cold shower water....on and on so I gave up. The breakfast I expected was house made, like fresh eggs with bacon or ther protein with toast anf hash browns---something freshly made. Didnt happen. We had easily prepared cut melons and other fresh fruit that was very good, however. The star of breakfast was the coffee. The location is superb. Just a couple of short blocks to the "L" Green line. The bed was perfect. The room had a microwave to reheat

We were pleasantly surprised by this property, and wished that our travel itinerary was such that we could have stayed more than just one night. Beth, the innkeeper, is personable and tends to every detail. The property is lovely and peaceful. Great dining options just a walk away, train to the city around the corner, and a lovely neighborhood to walk around and revel in the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. Highly recommended inn. We shall reurn.

Surprisingly easy street parking for the Chicago area. This property is absolutely beautiful and immaculate. We stayed in the Chalet Suite. Be aware that the Chalet and Oak Park suites are on the third floor and you will have to hike up quite a lot of stairs, but the room is gorgeous if you're up to the hike. The innkeeper, Beth, is very kind and attentive to her guests. She puts a lot of thought into the breakfast as well. We had multigrain croissants imported from France, fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade frittatas, some delicious breads from a local bakery, and more. Great experience!

The host is super welcoming and accommodating. I loved spending time in the patio and the size of the room was great. I also found the breakfast and coffee/tea options plentiful.

Beth and staff are wonderful. Beautiful accommodations. Access to front porch swing and back patio with gas fireplace and ample dining and living space on main floor to enjoy your breakfast.

This was the first time I've stayed at a Bed and Breakfast, and it was a positive experience. Our room (the Oak Park Suite) was spacious and comfortable, though the pillows on the bed were very flat. Parking was easy, the host/owner was hospitable, and it's an easy walk both to the Metra and to the shops of Oak Park.
