We had a fantastic stay at this Homewood Suites location! Traveling as a family of three with a baby can be stressful, but this hotel made it so easy for us. We were greeted by super friendly staff (Jason), and we were able to get early check-in and late check-out (which I understand is subject to availability). The room was spacious enough to unfold a pack and play, along with all of our belongings and a stroller. Everything was clean and cared for, including the well-stocked kitchen. They offered a wide variety of hot and cold options for breakfast and we definitely felt that this made our stay. It was so nice not to have to hunt down food in the morning. We were also there for the Wednesday night evening reception, which we found to have a large variety of fresh food as well! We also appreciated that there were highchairs available in the dining area.
In terms of the location, this hotel was very walkable- we took the train in and were able to walk to and from the train station. It was also a short walk to the aquarium/museum campus area, as well as Soldier Field. We loved that it was a bit quieter in the South Loop than near the Magnificent Mile or River North areas. There were still lots of coffee shops, restaurants, and a grocery store nearby, none of which were crowded. We would definitely choose to stay here again if traveling to Chicago as a family!
