I had a great experience at Ivy Boutique Hotel on a previous visit, but this time was a complete letdown. The heating was broken in freezing 0-degree Chicago weather, making the room unbearably cold. To make matters worse, there was no liner between the sheets, which felt unhygienic and uncomfortable. It’s clear that the quality has decreased significantly, and the attention to detail is lacking. For the price, I expected much better. Won’t be returning.

the room is absolutely spacious and technological advance. Never have a room with a button to open and close the blinds. So impressive. Would love to have access to the rooftop, it was locked when I tried to get there. Would definitely stay there again when I visit next.

Very comfortable. Great location. Smallish size results in quiet room etc. Fewer amenities like lobby bar etc. but good value overall - especially in this area of Chicago.

The water in our room did not warm up:( curtains did not work properly. Our particular room was more run down than any other room I have experienced in this hotel from my previous bookings.

For the price, we were disappointed by several maintenance issues. A knob and the shower handle were loose, one of the power outlets wasn’t securely mounted, and there were three remotes provided but only one worked properly. The most inconvenient part, however, was the lack of a microwave. This significantly affected our experience, as we were unable to reheat leftovers, ultimately making the trip more expensive than expected.

The location of the Ivy Boutique Hotel was perfect for what we wanted to do We shopped Michigan Ave, walked to the Bean, Grant Park, State Street, Navy Pier We visited the Ice Cream Museum, Cultural Center, Apple Store Unfortunately the amenities at the Ivy Boutique Hotel were lacking. The Hotel does not have a pool, gym or restaurant. The bar in the lobby also doubles as the front desk. It feels awkward to enjoy a cocktail when guests are checking in and out. We were quite disappointed when learning on our arrival that the hotel’s roof top deck is only available for private parties. Despite these shortcomings, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chicago.

We have stayed here in the past which was great. This time the noise level was awful. Our room was next to the janitor closet and staff we talking and being extremely loud outside our door from early mornings until later at night. It was like they were in our room loudness. I had forgotten to bring a tooth brush, and when I checked in on Sunday evening the front desk said they did not have any available. When I went back the next morning the lady found one for me. The fridge in room 402 was noisy all evening. Overall the room looked nice, and I really liked the overhead shower.

Room was super hot. Went to the front desk to let someone know. He pulled it up on the computer and said he reset it and it’s working. I told him the air coming from the vents was warm and not cool, but still insisted it must be working since the computer says it is. I asked what we could do if it’s not working and he asked me what I wanted, I said we could do another room and he told me there were no other rooms available. We were miserable that night, could barely sleep it was so hot. I talked to someone again the next morning and let them know the situation. They sent maintenance to look and they said it feels fine but let us switch to a different room. Asked them to change the return filter as it was clogged up and nasty. Tv in the bathroom doesn’t work. Shower door makes loud noises as if it’s going to break. Bed uncomfortable. Blinds did not work. Definitely not worth the cost, would stay anywhere else.

Very large room. Clean. Great location, very walkable and close the L. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again!
