Overall, a solid stay on a budget. Getting a turn to use the bathroom or shower can be challenging at peak times when there are more than a couple of other tenants. Facilities were quite clean, for the most part.
Walls are thin, so you'll hear other stayers coming up, especially if you're in room 2. I slept fine, but it did keep waking up my wife (she used earbuds on the remaining nights and slept ok).
Though we didn't go, there's a well reviewed restaurant called Mott Street next door that looked and smelled amazing. If we come back to this neighborhood, we'd probably try it out. There's also a Jewel Osco supermarket nearby.
I wished there were tissues available, in addition to toilet paper, but that's a minor gripe. I also wished the shampoo foamed more.
Overall, I'd give Stay 424 a 8.5/10.
