ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Hurricane Helene hit Lake Lure hard in September 2024. While the cabin was not damaged, the Town of Lake Lure is still working to clean up the lake, and boating and swimming are currently prohibited. The storm heavily impacted Lake Lure and Chimney Rock villages, so we suggest researching the area. Places are opening up daily
- The Town of Lake Lure has announced that due to ongoing storm recovery work, the lake is unlikely to reopen for the 2025 summer season. This includes all motorized and non-motorized boating, as well as swimming. Town leadership continues to evaluate options for reopening the lake or portions of it and will provide updates as new information becomes available
- While the property wasn't damaged in the 2024 hurricane, many shops and restaurants are still closed. There are activities in Chimney Rock State Park, Asheville, Henderson, and Black Mountain. Thank you for your support as the city rebuilds
