Decent Stay but a Few Letdowns
The hotel reception and main areas are really lovely – modern, clean, and well-kept, so first impressions were great. The room itself was also nice and comfortable. However, the corridors leading to the rooms felt quite outdated, and unfortunately, the fire doors were constantly slamming shut through the night, which didn’t make for the best sleep.
The balcony view was a bit of a letdown, looking straight out onto a scruffy rooftop and industrial surroundings – not exactly relaxing. The spa was another mixed bag – to get there, you actually have to leave the hotel and walk around the outside, which we didn’t expect. We accidentally ended up by a building site after following the spa signs, so that was confusing. Once there, the spa was okay but missing a jacuzzi, and it’s a bit of a trek from the pool to the sauna.
On the plus side, breakfast was lovely – fresh, tasty, and plenty of choice.
Overall, not a bad stay, but a few things definitely took away from the experience.
