“Norbu the hotel GM was excellent. He personally made sure that the stay was comfortable and any of our needs were addressed. In fact, while embarrassing to state in a review, we ran out of cash and he lent us Rs. 5000/= going out of the way. That was a very trusting gesture on his part. Norbu also helped us get the visitor permit from the local DM’s office which helped us move forward with our trip. “The hotels itself had a warm welcoming environment. It had a garden with rose species, and other flowers at the rear. It even a vegetable garden we enjoyed looking at. The rooms were spacious. The staff was friendly and the cook even made custom made food to our request. The owner of hotel was most accommodating and helped us plan our trips. We appreciated his taking time to advise us on our trips and even getting us in touch with the taxi companies to organize our trips. I would give it 6……

“I had an incredible 4 day stay at Leh Stumpa. The establishment is run by a very caring and loving family. I was well taken care of for any needs I had right from accessories to arranging taxis and transportation. Despite so many food options nearby I exclusively stuck to their fresh delicious home made breakfast and dinner (even though my stay rate didn’t originally include those) which had new options daily. Please don’t let the (comparatively) low hotel rate mislead you - this is a top……

“A very friendly hotel with very good service. Rooms are large with balcony and nice view. Is better to be on the new building but the old one is charming. The buffets (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are good. The market and the old town are only at 5 minutes by foot. The last but not the least, you can play table tennis for free.”

“A very simple property in Leh but really good value. And the staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. They even stored our luggage for us as we went for an 8-day trek. The location is also perfect for exploring the main downtown plaza. Simple facilities but the staff more than make up for this.”
