We booked a suite, and the space was comfortable and spacious. Parking was easy and convenient. As someone who eats low-carb, I appreciated that the breakfast had enough options for me to get by. There was also 24-hour complimentary coffee in the lobby, which was a nice touch. The location is convenient—right off I-75.
That said, there were some drawbacks. When we arrived, the front desk staff told us the indoor pool was unheated and very cold, so we didn’t end up using it. The shower in our room didn’t work properly—the pull pin was partially broken, which led to weak water pressure. The suite also had a stale musty odor. We kept the window open during our stay, which helped, and I like to think we left it smelling better.
Housekeeping did not come once during our three-day stay, and we were only given two washcloths for a family of three. The front desk was often unattended for stretches of 10–20 minutes, and there’s no bell to call for assistance. My daughter noticed a few stains on her bedding—not terrible, but not ideal.
Not the hotel’s fault, but our first night was disrupted by a group of rambunctious tweens running wild through the halls for hours. Lastly, the windows open wide enough on upper floors to pose a safety concern. So I would not recommend this hotel for anyone traveling with someone at risk of self-harm.
All that said, the value was decent for an 800 square foot suite, and I would consider staying there again.
