“We had a great time! The cabin was beautiful and comfy! The WiFi was out and a technician was supposed to come out Saturday but never showed. The caretaker kept trying to give us passwords to try but they didn’t work. Out hotspots worked well that we could still watch movies but hopefully this is fixed shortly. There was no weird smell, it smelled like a log cabin and wood to me. There was not an electric fireplace but a real one which worked great but per my husband the flue has to be shut……

“Great spot with plenty of space for our group to hang out and relax—especially appreciated the cozy basement and the hot tub. Sleeping arrangements were comfortable for everyone. Only downside was that we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the air conditioning, which made things a bit warm at times. Otherwise, a solid stay!”

“My family of 5 and our dog enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Shiff Shack over Easter break. The house was the perfect size for my family, with 2 queen bedrooms on the first floor, and a loft on the second floor with 2 queen beds. We enjoyed the large room with the sectional couch and large TV to watch movies in the evening. I would have loved to use the fire pit out back, but it was too windy during our stay. “Beautiful house which was secluded in the woods, very clean, cozy and spacious and great location for access to elk mountain, only downfall was the driveway was covered with ice and snow so we weren’t able to make it up with our vehicle, had to park in the street and carry everything in, the owner did warn us about this, a 4WD vehicle wouldn’t make it up due to the steepness and icy conditions, this was an inconvenience but still had a great time!”

“Overall the cabin was very clean except we couldn’t use the grill because a family of mice was living in it. Needs more sitting furniture the stools are very uncomfortable. Could use a tv. ”

“Our family had a wonderful time at the Hillside Hideaway vacation home. Julie is a terrific host and the house is so pet friendly. We loved the two decks that had gates on them. The gated decks allowed our doggos to hang out with us outside of the house. The air conditioning was an added bonus because most of the Pocono rentals we have stayed at in the past didn’t have any air at all. We were nice and cool the whole time.
