“This property fulfilled all our needs for space, dog accommodations, beautiful views and privacy and was also in a pretty convenient location. Drove 20-30 minutes for a beautiful hike and also 20-30 minutes the opposite direction to run into a decent size town for any of our shopping needs. For a first time to Kentucky, it was a great choice!”

“The setting and surrounding area were great. Good hiking; the pool looked very nice. The room could have used some updating and maintenance. The sink faucet dripped and the shower control did not work properly; it was very tricky to regulate. Rust on the towel rack. The bathroom did not appear to have any ventilation causing a great amount of moisture build up when using the shower. The bed was comfortable. ”

“The cabin was clean and in good order. Everything we needed was there . We only needed to bring ourselves and the food . The hot tub was enjoyed in the evenings after exploring the gorge all day . We hiked in three different areas of the park and came back to peace and quiet . I counted 4 cars go by for the entire stay . The only sounds were the birds singing. If ya don’t mind the drive from town , I highly recommend this cabin ”

“We liked it overall. No directions for fireplace. It may have been broken. Microwave handle was broken. Steps to loft were a bit steep for us older folks. Tough road to get up to cabin. Overall we were pleased with our stay.”

“My family had a pleasant time at Throw'n Shade. It was a quick trip to get outdoors at the Gorge, grab some pizza, then a evening at the cabin. The location is beautiful, nice view of a valley in the spring with no close neighbors. Just enough for what we were looking for.”
