“It is probably the WORST 4-star hotel that I have ever been to. The staff on the night shift was awfully rude - they would tease at you and offer unhelpful opinions. This hotel only provides one bottle of water per stay - it means if you stay in the same room for two days - you would still only get one bottle of water of 300ml. The rooms were dated and dirty. Some of the facilities obviously need some maintenance. The gym was so tiny and the breakfast was not a buffet style.”

“Room is of good size but smells like it has been vacant for ages and the smell only goes away slightly after 2-night stay. Shiny tiles used in the entrance and dining area which is a bit old-fashioned. There is washer and dryer in the bathroom yet parts of the dryer door fell out during the process…”

“Had a wonderful stay at Hotel X Fortitude Valley. We arrived at 11:30am and were allowed to have an early check-in which was very convenient for us. Top customer service during check in and check out. Great location with many bars, cafes & restaurants nearby. Highly recommended! ”

“On the first day when we wanted to use the toaster to prepare for breakfast, it was so dirty that we had to give up. The inner side of the rice cooker was rusty and we couldn’t use it. Even the staff helped us to replace another one, the new rice cooker still didn’t work. The bathroom and kitchen floors were dusty. Even the hotel was newly opened, the carpet on the floor had patches of stain. The management of the hotel should be aware of cleanliness.”

“Overall is good. The location is good for a walk from the kangaroo point to the southbank park and Brisbane town hall. There are restaurants in convenient store nearby. The only thing is the door lock of our room is not working properly. Still I will consider this hotel for my next stay.”

“The first room assigned was below standard - not fully cleaned dustbin, noisy air conditioning and messy towels in the toilet. Therefore, I waited for another 30+ mins to wait for assigning me another room. Luckily, the second room assigned to me was great and the staff were helpful in general. But please remember to tidy up the rooms fully before the customers checking in.”

“Great location, friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast (best omelet I've ever had), 6-7 restaurants and grocery store within a 1-minute walk and spacious and comfortable room. Front desk also helped me get a taxi to the Brisbane airport. This was my second time staying at this property and will return next time I am in the Brendale area.”
