This amazing cabin, Bald Eagle Lodge, is hidden away high up on the top of Yonah Mountain hence these amazing one-of-a-kind views, is also in the "Heart" of Georgia Wine Country. This wonderful cabin is located about 3 miles from the quaint town of Alpine Helen close to the Historic Nacoochee Valley with its great restaurants and wineries. It is a spectacular upscale 5 Bedroom Cabin that sleeps up to 15 people (10 comfortably) in its 5 bedrooms, 2 of which are master bedrooms with king size beds, with ensuite bathrooms.
There is High Speed internet available (150 + MBPS) so the whole family can stream their favorite movies and shows on their TVs and devices. We provide complimentary YOUTUBE TV on the tv's in every room, you can also log in to your own YOUTUBE TV account if you prefer. The living room TV has a ROKU surround sound system.
We also have 2 other cabins close to Bald Eagle Lodge but not overlooking each other, they are very private, they all share the same amazing views. Bald Eagle Lodge is situated high up on the edge of Yonah Mountain adjacent to the Chattahoochee National Forest. Yonah Mountain provides some of the best hiking opportunities in the North Georgia Mountains including, hiking the famous Yonah Mountain Trail, directly from our private access right outside the cabin, via Yonah Mountain Road. Come and be amazed by the breath-taking, one-of-a-kind mountain views, as far as the eye can see over the Blueridge Mountains out into the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. While other cabins boast about having the best views, Bald Eagle Lodge undoubtedly has by far THE best, in the North Georgia Mountains, when locals in the area come to Bald Eagle Lodge, they are totally blown away, as although they have lived in these mountains all their lives, they say, they were not aware that views like these, even existed in this area.

The amazing mountain vistas are only part of the incredible experience at Bald Eagle Lodge. The access to this cabin which is very high up on Yonah Mountain is very easy, our cabins can be reached in a regular car, as the road up well maintained by both the permanent residents and the US Marine Corp, who use Yonah Mountain for training and climbing exercises, several times a year.
When you enter through the front door of Bald Eagle Lodge you will immediately recognize that this is NOT a typical rental cabin. There are soaring high ceilings and an amazing atmosphere with floor to ceiling windows with views as far as the eye can see out across the Blueridge out into the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, with stack stone fireplace, and unique artwork and cabin memorabilia everywhere to be seen, creating a one-of-a-kind mountain experience. This is one of the few cabins in the North Georgia Mountains and the Helen area that has 5 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 15 people (10 comfortably) in 5 bedrooms, with a sleeper sofa in the living room and a futon bed in the basement and 3 twin “rollaway” beds for additional guests. Bald Eagle Lodge is wonderful cabin for large family reunions, or groups attending weddings in the area, Church Groups or for a large group of friends to gather under one roof. This Cabin is NOT a typical rental cabin, the attention to detail is everywhere to be seen. If you like to grill outside, by popular demand, there is a 36-inch BlackStone Grill (griddle) located under cover outside, so that it can be used even in the rain.
This cabin has 2 master bedrooms with King size beds. There is a unique loft Master Suite with a beautiful King size bed, with a private bathroom and a fantastic fireplace with a gas log fire in the corner, beside a reading area to cozy up and read a book on chilly night. The loft master also has a large closet. The other Master bedroom with a King size bed and a full bathroom attached is on the main level. The other bedroom on the main level has a queen size bed.
There are another 2 bedrooms with queen beds in the basement with an adjacent full bathroom. All the beds in Bald Eagle Lodge feature "SPA" quality linens. There are ROKU TVs in all the bedrooms in this cabin with high-speed internet (150mbps +) to stream all your favorite movies and shows on Netflix, Prime Video, HULU, UTUBE etc, with a ROKU surround sound system for premium audio in the living room.
There is also a table tennis table and pool table and an air hockey table and a foo's-ball table in the basement game room, which is great for entertaining children or adults. In the Game Room there is a bar and a 55” flat screen ROKU TV, to keep an eye on your favorite sport while playing a game of pool or while enjoying the other games with the whole family.
The Kitchen features everything that you will need to prepare that special meal for family or a large group of friends, with a dishwasher, coffee machine (Keurig that takes Pods or ground coffee). There is also a French Pot and coffee grinder for the Coffee connoisseurs, also blender, waffle maker etc and most other kitchen necessities.
When you are ready to relax, Bald Eagle Lodge features a sunken Hot Tub out on the main level deck that is always hot and ready to go, where you can also take in these one-of-a-kind breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge and great Smoky Mountains as far as the eye can see. The views from these decks change from season to season and even from hour to hour. We hope you enjoy this wonderful mountain cabin experience and will want to return often.
NOTE: The Gas Fireplaces are available for use from October1st to April 30th. The outdoor Fire/Pit can be used all year round, we do not provide firewood, there is plenty to be found in the woods around the cabin. It is also available in most of the local stores and gas stations. We don't supply a lighter or matches for safety reasons.
If you are bringing dogs with you, there is a $75.00 pet fee and their flea and tick prevention, must be up to date. Absolutely NO cats are allowed. We have a pet policy, which we will ask you to read and agree to, if you are bringing your dog/s.

We would like to reassure our current and future guests that their health and safety together with that of our housekeeping team and our local community is of the utmost priority to us and although we always maintain an extremely high standard of cleanliness at our cabins. Our housekeeper sanitizes all areas of the property as per the current guidelines put in place by the State of Georgia due to Covid19, this includes cleaning sanitizing all surfaces in the cabin, including the bathrooms and kitchen, all door handles, TV remotes, light switches, outdoor grill etc,. Our housekeeper uses a laundry sanitizer in our washing machine and washes all our linens and towels at the CDC recommended temperature. If you decide to rent our cabin, we hope you have a wonderful time and can rest assured, we are doing everything we can to keep our guests, housekeeping staff and our local community safe at this difficult time.
Note: Please enter your dates for accurate pricing, as rates may change during holidays and during Octoberfest in Helen, Christmas and New Year and other holidays. Our rates are based on 2 people sharing, so please enter the total number of people that would be staying when requesting the price for your dates at this cabin in the app, to get an accurate total price for your stay. We have a nominal $25.00 per person per night fee, for additional guest above 2 people, to cover the extra linens utilities, wear and tear etc, as it costs a lot more to host 4/6/8/12/15 people than it does to host 2, we are sure you understand. There is also a $75.00 pet fee per visit, if you are bringing a dog, (maximum 2 dogs). If you are bringing 2 dogs, there would only be a charge for one dog. We would be happy to send you a detailed explanation of our rate structure upon request if you need clarification on our rates.
