Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Sewer logged and unclean- Shame on you!
These are a group of dishonest individuals. We booked a 2night stay and upon arrival, the WiFi did not work. The bedrooms had dead flies, matted cob webs and spiders in common areas, food pieces and crumbs in kitchen cupboards. - Their Jet tub could not be used because black sludge coming from jets. - our children were exposed to this - The shower could not be used because sewer water came up through drain and overflowed into the hallway and bath. - the toilets could not be used in both bathrooms - the local host- Candace exhibited dishonesty by promising she would refund us as specified refund for their inability to provide the services we paid for, but recanted and stopped communicating (true behavior of dishonesty and lack of integrity) after it was evident that this property had several significant breach of their advertised services. We had to VACATE early due to the sewer issues. - Both Vacasa and the local host swindled their responsibility to honor a respectable refund. - The host now is saying we left the place dirty when we had no access to water ( due to sewer overflow in house and had to vacate immediately. - The audacity of Vacasa and the local host to backpedal, lie, withhold monies for services they have not provided is disheartening. Vacasa and Candace, consider this a learning opportunity to improve upon your moral countenance and business integrity.

Fantastic stay
One of the greatest vacation homes I've ever had. Was simultaneously secluded but had access to all the necessary amenities...grocery, hardware, coffee gasoline etc. The house was both large and all-encompassing (love the downstairs with its own kitchen, patio chairs as well as the ping pong room) and cozy with plenty of places to hide away and read. View over the bluff was gorgeous, there were blackberry bushes galore and I loved the kitchen with a real gas range. Also the main bathroom with the waterfall shower and deck. Think the main had two bathrooms. Plus we had both a sea view and woods in the backyard. The house was also amazingly well-equipped with great books for both adults and kids (from Teddy Roosevelt to One Morning In Maine) and kitchen supplies. We actually went out and bought a bunch of stuff before arriving only to find that the house had most of it...down to Chinese oyster sauce and shovels for clamming. Only downside was the tubs were a bit dirty when we arrived.

In home heating did not work
House was ~50 degrees. Heater did not work, couldn't be fixed. We left without spending a night. Refund for approximately 25% of the cost of the booking was given in recompense. Would not stay again.

Great view and location
We spent thanksgiving at Sills Bluff and had a wonderful time. The property has a great kitchen, an amazing view, and is in a great part of the island. A few things to be aware of - they aren't kidding when they named this property "Sills Bluff" - it is on a bluff with a steep drop-off and you can't leave small children outside unsupervised. Second, as other reviewers noted, while the upstairs is wonderful, the downstairs is a little dated, and has a stale odor of smoke from the lower fireplace. Overall a great stay.

Woodland girls getaway
Beautiful water views, and a home tucked away in a woodland. Very cozy and great for a low key girls weekend. The kitchen is great for entertaining and very well done. Easy access to the ferry and Langley for shopping/wine tasting, I really appreciated the quick drive to the house after taking the ferry. The deck would be incredible in the summer. Only drawback is for four women, the downstairs bedrooms were much less comfortable and cramped, while one friend had a large master suite. We hung out in the upstairs rooms most of the time so it wasn't a huge issue. There is a light wood fire smell downstairs that didn't really bother us, but may irritate someone sleeping downstairs with sensitivities/allergies.

The high points of our stay include a fabulous kitchen, an amazing view, a comfy bed, proximity to the Orchard kitchen an beaches, and ease of entertaining friends. We left refreshed.

Beautiful setting
The house has a fabulous deck and view. The property was clean. The kitchen was well appointed. There were 2 couples in our group. The lower level where 2 of the 3 bedrooms are, is somewhat musty and damp, with a completely unacceptable shower. Its one of those walk in bath tubs with a separator, where you can hardly fit. The couple staying upstairs feels a bit pampered, while those staying downstairs, well....not so much. Upon arriving, we had issues with the front door. We were given the code, but didnt realize that you turn the code knob, not the door knob. We went to the back door that had a key in the lockbox, but there was not code given for this lockbox in the instructions. We called Vacasa and they helped us by giving us the code which was different from the front door. There were no instructions on how to use the fireplace upstairs, and no instructions on the tv's. You need to have a paid streaming app to connect to the televisions and stream off of your laptop. The beach is not very close, not walking distance, which I felt a bit misled about. We all enjoyed our stay, but felt bad for the couple staying downstairs.

Wedding weekend in Clinton, WA.
The location was fantastic, the first floor was beautiful. The views were amazing. The downstairs space was outdated and did not have amenities and not worth the money. There was no dresser in the bedrooms, or a night table or lamp in the twin bedroom. It made it very difficult to unpack. The doors were loud in the basement and upstairs half bath bathroom. The basement was outdated and the shower was unusable. We stayed with three adult couples and the basement rooms were not even close to the first floor. I avoided the basement except to sleep.. The views from the deck were great, but the basement was a disappointment.

You couldn't ask for a more perfect view and setting -- it was stunning. The furnishings were unique in a good way. The layout was perfect, especially if you are traveling with another couple or extended family. A great bit negative, though, is the unit was not very clean except in the most important places (toilets, sinks, and beds). Crumbs on nearly all surfaces and floors and inside cabinets was a big turnoff. And there were big carpenter ants that kept popping up. I could go on, but you get the idea.

Beautiful home, but improvements could be made
The home is beautiful and very comfortable. An extraordinary view and very quiet. Some criticism relating to cleanliness, especially during these strange Covid times. First, we found quite a lot of silverware, pots, and plates with old, caked on food remnants. While this is likely the fault of previous guests, a thorough inspection by the cleaning staff should have caught and rectified this. Compared to three other VRBO homes I have visited in the last two months, this one was alone in not placing kleenex in all bathrooms and bedrooms and no hand sanitizer was found anywhere. I did not complain to management as I always bring my own. My final criticism (or suggestion) is that we were unable to locate outdoor garbage or recycling containers (we looked all over the property). We stayed only two nights, so this wasn't a real problem for us, but for a longer stay this would become a real problem, especially now when guests are very likely to bring in and prepare all meals in the house, resulting in quite the buildup of food scraps and other garbage. All told, however, we had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home with an extraordinary view.

Lower level needs updating
The upper level of the home, and all outdoor areas, were lovely. Recently renovated with modern decor. View from the house is magnificent. However, lower level needs updating. Dated and worn, with cheap decor. Smelled a bit of dampness/mold. One of the two lower-level bedrooms didn't have any type of window covering. For a family with children, this would be a pretty good property. The adults could stay upstairs in the lovely master suite while the children could stay in the two bedrooms on the lower level. We were a group of 5 adults, so the three us who got stuck on the lower level weren't very happy.
