“We booked this cozy cottage for two weeks in mid-October. Donna was wonderful. She reached out prior to the stay to chat through the VRBO site and as we got closer she shared things to do and see in Louisburgh and other close towns. We communicated through Whats App once we landed at Shannon Airport (2.5 hours away). She met us at the house to show us how to use the applicances, turn on the water to the showers, lock the doors, etc. She also had flowers and a card for our wedding anniversary……

“There were no instructions about how to turn on or adjust heat or hot water. Some dishes were not clean. Kitchen was missing some essentials (no coffee maker, no salad spinner, no covered casserole dish, no salad bowl,. But the washing machine leaked badly, gushing water.The drying rack was broken.This well situated cottage has three bedrooms and once things are fixed and the house instructions are you improved it could be ok. A table broken since October has not been fixed 6 months later.I……

We were told to contact Karen but no phone number left asking local neighbours did they now any phone numbers and one neighbour new the cleaner and she gave us the code to access the property. For the 4 days we were there nobody contacted us or check if we were even there So check in procedure very poor when you’ve been travelling 13hours”

“The cottage was perfect for our first visit to Connemara. The accommodation was spacious, well presented and with everything that we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. Debbie the owner lives adjacent to the cottage which made communication very easy and very help and assistance was to hand. “Eight of us stayed in Jimmy's home as our base for climbing Croagh Patrick. The home was sited beautifully just outside of Westport and impeccably clean. There was space for eating outdoors, which was a must given how pretty the property is. Jimmy was a great host and timely answered all questions we had before the stay. If you're looking for a cozy, beautiful home in the Westport area, you cannot do better than this property. It won "best house" in our after-trip poll. ”
