“Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig in der Mitte des grünen Irlands. Von dort aus hat man diverse Möglichkeiten zum wandern und besichtigen der Sehenswürdigkeiten (z.B. Athlon, Clonmacnoise). Mit der Bahn (nächste Bahnhöfe ca. 30 Minuten entfernt) fährt man gemütlich, günstig und pünktlich in die größeren Städte wie Dublin, Galway oder Sligo. “We had a lovely stay in this house. Situated on the river, it was a nice and peaceful retreat. We were an extended family of 6 (all ages) and this house and surroundings suited us all. Close to Belturbet, Cavan town, Ballyconnell etc. I found this house well situated as a base for travel slightly further afield. Contact with the host, Anita, was easy and prompt. We had great fun with the pool table also. Great for all the family”

Aber es war als wie wenn wir nur kurz weg gewesen wären, über die Schwelle getreten und wir hatten sofort das Welcome Home feeling wie vor 15 Jahren.Nur das diesmal unser 11 Jähriger mit dabei war, der erkunden wollte warum er einen Nordischen Namen bekommen hat, und wir das Land und die Menschen so lieben.Wir haben uns bei der Anfahrt natürlich verfahren, aber abends um 22 Uhr, an einem Hof, ein Kind gefragt wo……
