“Every detail of our stay was perfect, including 4th of July decorations and a bottle of wine. The hot tub was fantastic. We loved watching birds from the balcony. The kitchen was big and well stocked. There was a cute little drive in down the road for ice cream. We would be happy to return!”

“Great place to stay. Right in the center of town. The property was exactly what was described. We could walk to coffee shops, The Eagle Center and an Irish Pub across the street. The property was quiet, convenient, and in a nice safe area. We stayed with my daughter, her husband and 2 grandchildren ages 2 & 3. Communication with the owner was easy and she was very responsive. Great place for a romantic getaway or a weekend with your family!”

“We had a great stay. Having the little park next door was a nice surprise. Your place had everything we needed and is very charming. ”

“The cabin was everything we needed for the weekend. Nicely stocked with useful things and great for morning coffee on the deck or watching TV on a rainy afternoon. Will consider renting again.”

“When I first saw the place, my heart sank. Dirty and grungy and full of webs and bugs on the outside. But the interior was quite nice. I only noticed 2 minor things -- mop board below the toilet paper was dirty, and the vent fan needs to be cleaned. We had a good stay. Hot tub is perfectly functional. Easy walking distance to National Eagle Center, river walking paths, restaurants/bars. ”

“We stayed the weekend for a college reunion- this is our 5th stay - and it keeps getting better. Friday night we had a small get together before heading out to local restaurants and all who stopped by commented on how beautiful the house was and how great the location is. Both inside and outside were great- was a great venue for the 8 of us who stayed. Already looking at dates for the next get together- and making a reservation for “the house” will be top on the list of to dos. ”

“The Hosts were very friendly and available for anything we needed. The house is beautiful with a great location.”

“The property was very cute. Especially the patio. Although we didn't use the amenities there such as the fire pit and the hammocks, it pretty much had everything we needed for a somewhat rustic weekend. I did like that the code to the door was just texted to us so we didn't have to really check in at any given time. "Staying at the Alexander Mansion felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and warmth. Every piece of furniture and every lamp tells a story—but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the 80-something host, a former chef, who graciously prepared a beautiful and heartfelt breakfast ceremony for us. His kindness and attention to detail gave our journey a sense of home and heartfelt care.
