We arrived early evening, it was very chaotic at the desk. I was told that the parking machine was broken, so i had to download the app and i was limited with time to pay for this. So i had to rush out to the car park to sort this out leaving my bag whilst managing my young child. Once this was sorted i went back in to check in. The female staff member handed me the key and told us what number our room was. I was very disappointed with check in, nothing was explained, i.e the pool times, location, how the room tidy service works, WI FI. As it was late we ordered room service. The food took a long time, so i called down to be told in quite a kurt voice 'i'll have to check with the chef', it just seemed like i was asking for too much?!?
After our day out on the saturday, we returned to the room to see it hadn't been serviced. When i called down she upruptly told me that all the information is on a notice in the room and i needed to request this. This is very poor as the notice looks like advertising and it wouldn't be something i would have noticed. I therefore had to request clean towels and coffee which was also missing from the room. To top it off the coffee (starbucks) machine was broken on the last day!
The hotel is nice and was clean, but the service wasn't great. All matters related to the stay should be informed on check in, i shouldn't have to be left to find all of this out on my own or by having to call down to reception.
