I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Washington-College Park (I-95) by IHG, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel’s location was ideal—right off I-95 and close to the University of Maryland, which made getting around easy. I also liked that it was next to an IKEA and near several dining and shopping options. The amenities were a nice bonus: I took advantage of the indoor heated saltwater pool and appreciated the 24-hour fitness center. The staff stood out the most—they were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. My room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and cozy bed, which made unwinding at the end of the day really enjoyable.
That said, there were a few things I noticed that could be improved. Noise from the hallway and what sounded like a nearby event space was a bit distracting during the night. I also expected a mini-fridge and microwave in the room, but they weren’t available, which was inconvenient. While breakfast was offered on-site, I found it a bit pricey and ended up eating elsewhere. Despite those minor drawbacks, I’d still recommend the Holiday Inn Washington-College Park for anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable stay with great service—I just suggest checking the room amenities ahead of time if you have specific needs.
