The pros: clean (that’s such a big deal, it’s unreal how many are not), new facility, some cool in room features. Comfortable beds(for a mid-range hotel).
The cons: too hot. I’m pretty sure they limit the climate system (there’s also what seems to be a motion detector on it which will shut off the system if it doesn’t detect movement). I can’t say that for sure but I had it set to 67 and it wouldn’t even click on. As other reviews stated, the water leaks out of the shower because of design. I don’t really care about this but be warned you will need to use towels to sop up the water.
Now to why the terrible rating. I was super pleased with the room until first, the climate issue then second, the wind. Every time the wind kicked up the windows howled. Like an animal. We had no idea what it was at first. It literally sounded like animal noises. Then the rattling. It rattled the windows so hard I thought they were going to break at one point. Finally at about 1 am I had to put in ear plugs just to get a meager 4 hours of sleep. You know, the whole point of a hotel. We told the guy at the front desk and he said they knew. He wasn’t unempathetic but, what could he even reasonably do? Bottom line, nothing is built like it used to be. Everything, from quality to service everywhere has become a practical joke. It’s not just Marriott. I’ve tried literally every company there is and they’re all the same anymore. It stinks!
