The Copper Cricket

Nestled high on a mountainside providing opportunities to explore or relax while enjoying privacy. 

The 816 square foot deck gives expansive wraparound views of the Rockies. Complete with a comfortable outdoor patio set and solar umbrella. Stargazing at 9400' elevation! 

Downstairs patio offers a shaded space for relaxing and playing safety. 

Feeling a little adventurous? Hike the 600-foot hill behind the cabin to see a one in a kind view of The Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. 

A 16-minute drive to the small town of Cripple Creek to enjoy a root beer float, a selection of dining experiences, quaint shops, and world class gambling. Check out the tiny town of Victor down the road, so much history packed into one area! 

• 2 separate entrances, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. 

• 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths.

• Main floor bath has tub/shower combo. Lower bathroom has shower with seat.
 
• Linens provided includes: all bed linens, bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels, kitchen towels, bathmats, and nonslip mats. 

• Well behaved pets with responsible pet owners are permitted. Fenced in dog area available in the back of the cabin. A one-time $100 dollar pet fee. Please no pets on furniture and should sleep in their own dog bed.

• Maximum of 8 guests per visit. Guest list must remain updated and should be verified by the guest.

• Please no large gatherings of any type. 

• Minimum age limit for rental is 26. 

• Maximum vehicle limit is 4. 

• Garage port reserved 1 vehicle. 

• Full kitchen including fridge, microwave, electric oven, dishwasher, and dining table that seats 6. Essential cookware, utensils, mixing bowls, cups, plates, and cutlery also available. Complementary condiments. 

• Theater room complete with a 120-inch projector screen and surround sound system with DVDs on site to choose from. Queen-size pull-out couch bed available here for additional sleeping space. Bring a streaming device to connect to projector via HMDI port or use the supplied fire stick. 

• TV in downstairs bedroom, with DVD player. 

• Smart-TVs in upstairs bedrooms and living room. 

• High-Speed internet (60 mbps) available, however due to the remote location it can be finicky or slower at times during storms. 

• Picnic area with table.

This cabin was amazing! The location was wonderful, with scenery enjoyed from sun up to sun down. The amount of stars we saw kept us in awe. Luke was a wonderful host, did a wonderful job communicating. The cabin was exactly as shown, clean and beautiful. and answering any questions.

Perfect for a relaxing time - the views from the deck are amazing!
We had so much fun - 6 of us stayed with 2 little dogs (the dog run is great) - 2 of the guests are in their 80's (they appreciated having the bathroom attached to one of the bedrooms) and had so much fun. The views from the deck are amazing, the home has everything needed to have a wonderful time and isn't not far from hiking trails, the Cripple Creek railroad and the Wolf Sanctuary. One of the best parts of the home is the downstairs theater room! The screen has to be 110 inches - you can hook up your device and play movies/TV through the screen, or watch a DVD - we watched NFL football and a few good movies. Also, the host is very nice - he was easy to contact with any questions and answered them quickly - he also left us donuts, some Boost Oxygen (great if not acclimated to the elevation) and even had a brand new Ninja Woodfire grill! Which was great - we grilled burgers/hotdogs/steaks and had such a good time. Thank you Luke! We'll be back :)

Quaint spot
The property was clean and certainly secluded. Communication with the owner was easy and seamless. The only issue we had was there was no air conditioning. I know the listing did not state A/C but when you stay at a vacation spot, I think most would assume all standard amenities are at the place of property. Luke did try to help but unfortunately it was too hot. When we arrived it was 85 degrees inside, by 4am it cooled down to 77 degrees. We did not feel comfortable leaving the windows open as we ventured out and about on day 2 so naturally we closed the windows. Once we came back it was 86 degrees inside… too hot! We ended up leaving that day and found a place within the area with A/C. We spent 5 days in the new location. There was nothing wrong with the home nor Luke the owner, it was just too hot for us.

Absolutely Amazing!
We loved every minute of our stay! The views are gorgeous, and the sky at night is beyond description in beauty! Luke was an amazing host, attentive and caring (he even located the closed place for my husband to purchase a fishing license). The home itself is beautiful, while comfortable, the beds are super restful! The whole process from check in to check out was perfect- we will be back. My, mom, brother and I had the BEST time here. Beautiful home, fantastic theater experience, the mpst gorgeous views, and all perfectly nestled in the wonderful Copper mountain. We saw tons of wildlife, stars, and a hundreds of memories wells never forget. Luke is amazing and so thankful we chose this location.

Beautiful Home
My family and I stayed in this beautiful cabin just to get away for a while. From the beginning to the end- Luke was a very responsive host and gave us suggestions on what to do when we got there and even gave us an alternative route due to the weather. The area itself is very quiet, but beautiful. The theater room was a hit for my kids. The space was clean and had all the essential things needed to coke. Very easy instructions to follow to check in and check out. Would definitely recommend it!

Relaxing stay at the Copper Cricket
Quiet relaxing stay. Remote area but still within 10 minutes to Cripple Creek. The host is friendly and attentive and though we had no problems Luke was ready to help with anything. The theater room is amazing. The house is very comfortable. Saw lots of deer and turkeys. Looking forward to staying there again.

Mountain stay
My husband and I and 2 of his brothers rented this out for our anniversary and a getaway. This house is amazing and has out of this world views. We spent the majority of time on the deck! It is a must when staying here to take your coffee to the deck and just enjoy all of your surroundings! Luke was an absolute wonderful host, he even was able to extend our stay. The one draw back if you are not used to being above 9000 feet is altitude sickness. Make sure before staying here that acclimate a few days in Manitou or Colorado Springs before staying. Otherwise, can’t go wrong with this VRBO. A lot of new memories where made here and those are priceless. When staying here you must also visit the food truck at Evergreen Station! Signature Burger is a must! Great suggestion Luke!! Thanks for all the new memo! The Cole Family!!

Great summer getaway
The cabin was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. Our favorite feature was the theater room which was amazing. The location is less than 10 minutes from Cripple Creek which has fun activities as well as food, grocery, gas if needed. From there you’re centrally hour away from a Canon City one way or Colorado Springs the other to be able to do all of the fun stuff in those cities or in between. Kitchen is fully stocked. Dog kennel in the backyard is safe and reliable. Deck and views are tough to beat. And of course Luke was a great host who was very responsive to any questions we had.

Book it!!!!
What a beautiful cabin and location! Close to Cripple Creek, which has a great coffee shop. We loved stopping at Evergreen Station, a friendly and nice little Gas Station with a Liquor And Gift Store. Our kids loved exploring around the cabin! The view from the deck it amazing!!! Luke is a great host, answers all questions on the spot! Highly recommend this cabin!

Top-Notch House and Host
The house is located in against a picturesque backdrop and absolutely beautiful. The kiddos particularly loved the theater room and large deck. The fenced dog area was great for us. The layout is great for a family or group of friends. The house is located in the forest with plenty of room to yourselves. However, there are many activities nearby. Luke was quick to reply with any questions we had and very helpful. He keeps the house well-stocked, decorated well, and very clean. Be sure to follow the directions he gives, we didn’t the first time and trusted Google. We ended up on a very rough road. Fanstastic house!

Perfect Getaway
We rented the property for a weekend before an event at Red Rocks Amphitheater. We loved the cleanliness, quiet, and beautiful amenities. The theater room was great to watch movies on. The entire house was spotless! We had planned to take dogs with us, but plans changed regretfully, because this would have been the perfect dog friendly cabin with the pen in the back and carpet only in bedrooms. 10/10 recommend!
