Excellent stay. If there is a nicer property in town we didn’t see it (and we walked around a lot). Wonderful history of the property. Great communication and easy access. Beds were comfortable and rooms are large. Well equipped kitchen so there was almost nothing extra we had to buy. Great job!

Family vacation

Chose this house for our Manitou Springs vacation. It was a great property with an incredible location. Spent every evening on the back deck and lots of time out front by the creek. Would highly recommend!

Such a terrific property!

This is an amazing house with a fascinating history. The kitchen is well appointed and the indoor and outdoor spaces are comfortable. It has easy access to the main town area and park - really everything you're hoping to find!

Perfect place for 6 fun friends in their early 70's

The owner and the VRBO contact were wonderful working with us and answering all of our questions. It's a beautiful property and so well situated to the wonderful historic town.

Perfect Wedding!

We held our wedding at The Allison House. Everything was absolutely perfect! The communication from day one was top tier, I never had a question that went unanswered from the host. The house was clean and accommodated the whole wedding party. Our family/friends were blown away with how beautiful the house was. Thank you for making our special day even more amazing!

Wonderful!

Beautiful house that combines classic yet comfortable decorating in the living room and bedrooms with the luxury of modern kitchen and bathrooms. Nice property with lots of outside seating where you can hear the sound of nearby Fountain Creek. Quiet location yet close to everything.

Amazing house!

Everyone was blown away by how cool this house was! So nice to be able to walk into town to the nearby restaurants, shops and arcade . The abundant parking is very valuable since it is scarce and costly around Manitou Springs. The back patio with a grill, smoker and fire pit is as private as it gets. And the river and bridge out front are so peaceful. We had an absolute blast! All the beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked with supplies. We hope we will be able to come back again in 2025. Thank you to the hosts for sharing such a memorable home with us!

excellent house in an excellent location

We really enjoyed staying here. They had everything we needed. It was a great location for seeing downtown Manitou Springs. We walked everyday, and we didn't need to drive anywhere.

Perfect spot to access all Manitou has to offer!

Simply put, perfect, quiet, parking, access!! Two families of 4 (Teens 13-15) stayed several nights and this property is perfect. Walking or biking (provided by property) access to downtown Manitou. Don't question it, just book with confidence! 6 total beds are available so everyone had their own bed to sleep on. Adults 2 per bed, kiddos each had their own. Perfect! ~Will

Incredible Home & Amenities

This home was exactly as advertised, and more. From the moment we walked in the door, it felt like home. Plenty of room for living, entertaining, and eating. I was there with my children/spouses/grandkids at various times. There was room for everyone. We spent so much time in the kitchen cooking; and in the dining room eating and playing cards. Also, many hours sharing memories in the living room. Then when everyone got restless, we walked around Manitou Springs. . . .gorgeous! Can't say enough about this host/home. Would definitely recommend it!

Better than I could have imagined

Blocks from downtown on a road that's easy to walk. Beautiful house. I mean... OMG. The AC and heat were really strong. Beds were super comfy. I couldn't complain if I wanted to.

Tough entrance

We chose the property due to its location. We have a number of guests with health issues and wanted to be within walking distance of the shops. Upon arriving we found that there was no automobile entry, as the city was pouring a sidewalk in front of the driveway. Upon notifying one of the owners, they stated they were unaware of the issue, however another owner was on premises when we arrived, so obviously was aware we would not be able to park on site, however we were not notified. We had to park at a hotel next door and carry our bags and groceries to the house. The only access was through a very narrow gap between a privacy fence and a garage. Needless to say, very trying for a group of older folks with health issues. Had we been previously warned or had there been anything available for day-of arrival, we would have made other arrangements, but neither was the case. I was refunded a paltry $50 per night by the owners, which was truly insufficient based on the excess trouble, stress, and initial rate. The home itself is adequate with a nice outdoor space, once one has made the trek on to the property.
