Having used Expedia to book weekends away domestically & to fully book a trip traveling Ireland & Scotland with absolutely NO ISSUES, it was disturbing to arrive at the Embassy Suites Columbus Airport & be told "WE HAVE NO RESERVATION IN YOUR NAME". We showed them the Expedia itinerary number (we chose to book but pay on arrival) AND the "Confirmed Booking" message we received AND the message we received the day before travel from Embassy Suites with their check-in time (4pm) & property details. They claimed to have checked their whole system NOPE, no reservation in my name. They told me to contact Expedia because it was their problem, not Embassy Suites.
We were also told there were NO ROOMS available. Imagine that? Huge music festival in town & we arrive at 6pm on a Saturday night to find out out of ALL the travels we have ever booked on Expedia, that our reservation simply vaporized? To say that neither my fiance or I believed a word out of their mouths is an understatement. We have no doubt the room was given away & Embassy Suites was satisfied with their full house.
Never again. Will never book another Embassy Suites property EVER. Shady, completely unprofessional & took absolutely no steps to helps us out in this situation. Both the clerk & the manager on duty simply walked away from the two of us & never said another word.
That said, we book ON EXPEDIA via our phone app the Comfort Suites Columbus Airport & THEY WERE FABULOUS! King bed Jr. Suite at HALF the cost!
