“Within easy driving distance of Hood River or Portland, this was a quiet getaway for a weekend to relax and refocus the mind. The house is very well-appointed, with a coffee maker that was welcome in the chilly mornings and the creek going by for the warmer afternoons (living room gets warm, so outside walk after lunch is highly recommended). I think I heard the rumble of an airplane going by, but other than that, there were only nature sounds!”

“My daughter and I stayed here while participated in the 2024 Columbia Gorge Marathon (her) and half (me). This was the perfect “home” to base from. Close to the event, but not right in the middle of it all. In fact the marathon course passed right by it. The location was very clean and stocked. The beds were also comfortable and well appreciated. We would absolutely stay here again. ”

“We brought our elderly mother down to visit family. It was the perfect house for family visits and quiet relaxation in between. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed except groceries! The house sparkled. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day. ”

“We came to Hood River to visit and spend Thanksgiving with our daughter and husband. The location was easy to access, close to their home, and downtown. The place was warm and cozy for our needs. Furniture was clean and comfy. The bed didn’t disappoint. Having 2 full baths was a treat, too! Having fresh Hood River coffee beans made that first cup of coffee start the day off great! Cabinets in kitchen were a little high for shorter people, but I had a tall person with me to help reach. Place was……

“This was perfect for our son’s casual wedding rehearsal dinner party and for 12 family members to stay together. The owner, David, is exceptionally accommodating and easy to work with. The house is spacious and well kept with a really nice outside area for entertaining.”

“We loved our stay in Underwood! The house was super clean, kid friendly, and the kitchen was very well stocked! The kids enjoyed playing games from the game closet and sledding in the yard. The property is very private, but conveniently located just a few minutes from White Salmon and Hood River. The owners are communicative and accommodating. Absolutely recommend this home for a family getaway! We visit this area often and will definitely be staying here again!”
