Dark Skies Cottage

Dark Skies is a self contained oasis, located in the heart of town and in close proximity to all amenities.
A place to relax and recharge in style, whilst enjoying everything that Coonabarabran has to offer, with the ease of only being a few steps away from all the main restaurants, parks, pubs, shops and other points of interest.

The Space

Dark Skies is perfect for a couple or family and offers the comfort of reverse cycle air conditioning in the front and back of the home along with pillow topped mattresses and quality 100% cotton linens. The cottage also provides warmth from a gorgeous old fire place.
A selection of teas, coffee, cereals and milk will be provided during your stay.

Fantastic accommodation in the heart of town
My family and I had a great stay at dark skies. The house is in a great location, easily accessible and has great amenities. The house was exceptionally clean and outfitted with everything you need for your stay, including great resources on things to do in the area. The yard is large and secure so no issues leaving your dog there. Highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for accommodation in Coona.

Charming Cottage
This is the second time we have stayed at Dark Skies Cottage. It is a short walk to the shops. The cottage is comfortable and cosy with everything you need. I would recommend staying here and would stay at Dark Skies again. If you have mobility issues it may be difficult to get in and out of the shower as it’s over a deep bath.

A perfect family getaway
We stayed at Dark Skies with our children and loved the property and location. An easy walk to town and half hour drive to a number of beautiful bushwalks in the Warrumbungles. The house itself is very comfortable, beautifully decorated (love the plants), and warm for the colder Coonabarrabran winters. It was perfect for our family with kids (high chair, toys, books, plastic plates/cups etc plus a large fenced yard). Vanessa is a great host, communicative and friendly. We would definitely stay again 😃

Coonabarabran cycling trip
Stayed at Dark Skies for a week On October. The cotttage was excellent and fit for purpose for cyclists Plenty of outdoor space, a lockable laundry big enouigh to secure the 6 bikes we had. Rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. Updated kitchen and bathroom were well appointed, plenty of kitchenware available. The one downside was the condition of the bbq. Looked like it hadnt been cleaned for sometime and obvious the previous users hadnt bothered to clean. Other than that, its a great place to chill out and base yourself for a short or longer stay. Just a 25min drive to the Warrumbungles. All shops within a 15minute walk.
