“Our stay started off with a warm welcome at check in from John and his trusty sidekick Rex. To our surprise we were given an amazing hamper of locally sourced essentials and treats. Things only got better from there. The cottage was extremely well equipped and very comfortable, it felt like a home away from home. The fireplace made the cottage so warm and cosy when the sun went down. We awoke to see a pad ”

“Our stay was fantastic, Very comfortable and bed was amazing. The house is in an amazing position if you enjoy a romantic walk on the beach. Felt like it was our personal beach. Fantastic views from just outside the bark door. Only thing that was wrong was they wanted to charge extra for any extra people that might stay, we also had to purchase our own dishwashing detergent because the bottle was empty.”

“A perfect place to stay for 3 couples. Plenty of room in the lounge, and having enough seating in the lounge for 6 was awesome. Wifi connection wasnt easy.”

“The Mariner is everything it promises. Spectacular position right by the sea and direct access to a very pretty coastal path. Truly magnificent ocean views from the lounge, kitchen and two main bedrooms. Tastefully furnished and very well stocked with crockery, cutlery and kitchen needs. Comfy beds with thoughtful selection of pillows.Be sure to take Maree’s advice to shop for groceries in St Helen’s or Scamander on your way.Maree is a very good communicator. “Very nice stay. The room was big, clean and comfortable. Almost next door was a fabulous cafe/deli with great coffee and breakfast.”

“Bedrooms were large and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a chair and small table/desk in each bedroom. The expansion bunkhouse (looked like a converted garage) could have used a bathroom. It had a shower but no toilet, so running water and drains were available. It had an unfinished look! There was a locked door in the back area, which perhaps contained a toilet, but none of the keys worked on the door. The person sleeping out there had to walk across the driveway to get to the……
