You'll be just one block from the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, where you can soak up the sun with family or friends. Corpus Christi is just under five miles away across the canal, where you can visit Hurricane Alley Waterpark, tour the USS Lexington or the Texas State Aquarium, or stroll through the handful of museums and exhibits around town. There are several public golf courses within driving distance of the home.

Great Stay at Breezy By the Beach

My family and I spent a week and a half at this property while work was being done on our house. The location was very convenient, and the house was very comfortable. We had no problems during our stay, and were very happy with the property overall. Thank you!

Perfect home

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect place to stay. We loved the fact that it is next the beach and the house was very clean on arrival. Would definitely recommend this place to stay for vacationing.

Door to deck was broken and had a temporary patch job so we did not feel comfortable using the deck. Also there was no grill on deck. Also living and dining room furniture was different from add. So much so that we left Friday afternoon.

When we walked in to the house there’s a sign that said please remove your shoes and so we did. The first thing that we noticed was that there was sand throughout the house. We understand that it’s a beach house and that there might be some sand but it was in every room. It seemed like the cleaning crew hit the important spots like bed linens and bathroom sinks and showers cleanliness but there was a film in the nights stands and bathroom counters as if they weren’t wiped down. The door leading to the deck had huge cracks at the top and bottom as if it had been slammed open to many times so it was never was totally secure and when it rained it leaked inside. The cabinets looked as if they were about to fall off the wall. The management company said they were going to contact me and never did. Although it’s relatively close to the Lexington and the aquarium, the neighborhood isn’t exactly the best. It is walking distance to the beach.

EXCEEDED Our Expectations!

We had a wonderful experience staying at this home. We have two young children so it was very important for us to be within walking distance to the beach. The beach was so much closer than we even thought! We even loved that the road that the home is on has little to no traffic. The home has a great concrete driveway and space under the home that we were able to let the kids ride their bikes and not worry about cars flying by. There was also no stress of cars when walking to the beach. The beach was NOT busy at all and we went during Spring Break! It felt like a private oasis going from the beach home to walking out on the beach. The location is also amazing because the Texas State Aquarium and the USS Lexington were right down the road! The home itself exceeded our expectations! It looked so much better and felt so big with tall ceilings compared to the pictures. The home was clean and had everything we needed for cooking our meals. As an added bonus I LOVED that they had beach towels that we could use and even had chairs that you could take out to the beach or for the deck. We DO plan to stay at this home again and would 1,000% recommend it!

Great Home away from Home !!!!!

We could not be more happier with our stay . It is down the street from the Aquarium and literally across the street and a few steps to beach access. The inside was very clean, not a eww or ick throughout the whole house!!!!!! We had one small problem with something not working properly and they responded within minutes to apologize and let me know that they would send maintenance. The maintenance guys were very nice and got in and out . We had an amazing stay and I would definitely book again!

Overall satisfied

A few girlfriends and I stayed in this house for a weekend trip. Overall, it was a good experience. We felt like the house could stand to be deep cleaned. Floors leave a residue on the bottoms of feet and layers of dust can be seen on some walls. Super comfortable, clean bedding and very nice to have laundry machines and a stocked kitchen. The area had lots of construction and was quite rundown, but good proximity to downtown and the bay.

We had a wonderful. House was clean and furnished with most all things needed. Close to beach with nice view of gulf. Kids didn’t want to leave so that’s a nice sign.

Diamond, just a bit too rough

This is a great house, with great water views. Clean, broad solid stairs with a great hand rail, great condition overall. But, the dishwasher doesn't work and stinks of mildew. The owner went to the trouble to create a professional sign about the dishwasher instead of fixing it. The stove burners don't all work. The microwave light doesn't work. The ice maker doesn't work. Cabinets have coating loose. While there are plenty of dishes, there was only a highly deteriorated frying pan and sauce pan (not healthy) and a lid with no handle. There were only soup spoons, no teaspoons. The decor was minimal and might have been better if there were none, except for the fish on the wall in the living room! The beds were comfortable and the dining set was nice, but otherwise the furniture was low quality. Several of the lights didn't work. When I called, I was told maintenance would come fix it and the owner would respond about the pans. Didn't happen. I bought a frying pan at Target to cook breakfast. Only then did I realize the dirty, melted condition of the cooking utensils. Then they texted asking me to fix things myself. I did not rent this home in order to hone my handyman skills!

On the first day, we checked in only to find out the dish washer didn’t work at all. There was no grill as advertised. There were no chairs for the balcony. There was mold growing in the coffee maker as someone left their used coffee grounds in the coffee maker. The vent for the air filter was more than dusty. The toilet in the main hallway wouldn’t flush. I had to fix that so that it would flush. That evening we went to bed only to find out the Roku box was missing from the house along with the HDMI cable. This morning we woke up only to find bed bugs in the master bed room. This was disgusting. There was no plastic wrapping on the mattresses to prevent this from happening.

Our Stay During During Harold

Tried to cancel due to a serious medical situation. I was told that I missed being able to cancel and receive a refund by one day. When I asked if Vacasa could ask the owner about canceling, I was told that they don’t bother the owner with such things. Ended up driving to the 6 plus hour through a tropical storm. Arrived at 3:30, and asked to enter the home early-check in was at 4. Was told “No, you have to wait until 4!” Meanwhile, the winds were 60-70 miles per hour, we were surrounded by water, roads were closed, and we had to sit in our car for a half an hour. Due to the storm, our friends never made it to the rental. The weather was so bad that they turned around after driving for 5 hours. We also were surprised that the home was in a depressed/semi abandoned area. The home behind us was abandoned and in disrepair. It definitely was a disappointing end of the summer vacation.

Comfortable and lacking

This house is nice, though in the pictures there appears to be a grill on the balcony/patio. There was not, which was disappointing. Also, no potholders in the kitchen. If you're going to have an oven, you need to provide potholders. Batteries in the DVD remote were dead. Finally, we had an interesting time trying to figure out the keypad on the door. My husband had to google how to use it after it took some time for the property manager to get back to us. Other than those inconveniences, the place is nice.

Property not as advertised

Had contact with them before to check on what was located at property was told deck chairs the deck chairs where bag chairs that were rotten. House was not ready at 4 had not even started on it at 4 so it was ready at 5. 1 hour is all the time they took with it. Garbage was out of house but had not been taken off. Raccoons got in it had to call 2 times on that issue. Dishwasher didn't work. This place could be a great place if properly taken care of.
