Upon arriving, desk clerk assigned a room she was told was ready,..IT WAS NOT...not even close!!! Went back to office and was assigned another room. Upon arriving at 126, door would not open. WHY? Power had gone out to entire property. This was a major issue because we had to be at an event in a short time and with no power to shower, get ready, etc. we HAD to go to another hotel. Asked for cancellation of res and clerk said she had no authority as I booked through expedia. I contacted expedia and as of Tuesday morning, 4/8, your hotel said no and HAS CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE ENTIRE STAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, guess who is very disappointed that you would do this??? I am trusting you will make it right and credit the entire amount as there was no way we could have stayed there with the power out and no idea of when it would be restored.
I would be willing to book another stay there the next time we visit Rockport provided the full amount is credited for this NON stay. I am sure you understand our position. Had we not had to be properly ready and dressed for our event, we might could have waited out the power situation. Looking forward to the property doing the right thing.
