“The staff at this hotel are the real stars, particularly Emelita Teul and Linsburg Chun, who go over and above anything required of them to be as helpful and hospitable as possible. The staff generally are very friendly, kind, considerate, and gentle (like most Belizeans, I might add). The hotel itself has clearly seen its glory days, and is now almost decrepit, I won't list and detail every little thing that did not work, was broken, or absent. It would have been a genuinely uncomfortable stay……

“The staff are very friendly though the service is variable and often slow. The furniture in the rooms needs updating. Inconsistent pricing with the wines. Different price in the bar to the restaurant. 30 dollor difference. They had ran out of a Cantena Alta Malbec and offered as a standard Catena Malbec at the same price, despite representations from us that this was clearly wrong. We feel the tours are over priced. The problem is that they have you as a captive audience as there are no……

“Amazing stay in nature with hosts that were welcoming and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet stay in nature. Best to come with a car so you can get around easily. Some great walks and maya sites near by, not to mention the chocolate tour at ixcacao. Can't wait to come back with our son to stay again ! ”

I loved going to sleep and waking up with the sounds of the jungle right outside my door. I recommend the bird watching excursion with Paps. He's very knowledgeable and has the eyes of an eagle.”
