This is a former MOTEL 6 revamped into a worse version of Motel 6. Noisy and the room smelled bad. NO HEAT in the room. The bathroom door was covered in marks and prints from dirty hands and damaged on the interior. They also do not disclose their pet fee for dogs until present to check in. Bring your ESA - but not for a cat. They turned the woman behind me away for having a cat after she booked on Expedia under PET FRIENDLY.

While the staff was very nice and accommodating, the motel itself was actually an older, retired Motel 6. It was simply renamed the Beachside. No improvements. The room was literally barren except for a built-in table under the T.V!. No real place to hang clothes, and no chest of drawers to place clothes or other items. There was no luggage rack for suit cases. One trash basket, the fan in the bathroom did not work. For the condition of the motel the price was too high. For a few dollars more I could have stayed at a Best Western and had a complementary breakfast.

The hotel can’t control the neighborhood it is in…the town of Crescent City seems to be neglected. It was a stop-over on our way home. The room was older but clean. The owner was very friendly and kind.

The staff was very nice! They made me feel comfortable and made sure I had everything I needed for my five day stay. The hotel was very clean and it was quiet. I will be staying there again soon and I recommend this hotel to anyone that’s passing through Crescent City, Ca, and need a cool place to stay!

Stopped here for a night while visiting the Redwoods. Everything that's within the control of the management was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff at the front counter, recently updated rooms that were spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean, etc. etc. The area around the inn was a bit dicey though. Any other motel in the area would face the same issue.

Area was a little iffy as far as feeling safe, although they had lots of cameras on the parking lot which made me feel better. It was a bit noisy late at night like people were stomping on the upstairs or banging on the wall next to us I couldn't tell which it was. But other than that it was okay there was no shouting or anything.

The service was super friendly here and the beds were comfortable. We checked in late after being rained out of our campsite with two young kids. I'm assuming the man that helped me was the manager and he made check in simple and upgraded us to a bigger room so the kids had a little more space which was greatly appreciated.There was definitely some room for improvement on the cleanliness side, but it wasn't filthy. We just noticed the floors looked like they hadn't been mopped and there was something splattered on the wooden headboard but I had wipes to fix that. I noticed a sign that did say they were under new management and it looks like they are really trying to improve the location.
