The location is gorgeous nestled in a sleepy woodland with farm animals and nature that makes you feel completely free of the city hustle & bustle.The hosts took care of us like we were family and welcomed us with some local delights. We were immediately switched into relaxed holiday mode. What a way to showcase the best an Adelaide getaway could……

“Our room was really comfortable and very homely but tastefully decorated at the same time. Good bed and good cooking facilities. The kitchen was well stocked. We had beautiful gum trees with koalas right near our door. American River is a great location as its half way between Penneshaw and Kingscote. We really enjoyed our stay.”

“Great location if you are planning to take the ferry to Kangaroo Island. There is a pub accross the street for food. Room is spacious and comfortable. The only problem was that there was a rodent trying to get into our snacks and eat my vitamins and medici left on the counter for the next morning.”
