Fishbowl Retreat: A Lake Martin Vacation Home with Stunning Views and Central Convenience


Welcome to Fishbowl Retreat, a serene 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath lakefront haven tucked away in a quiet cove on the southeast side of Lake Martin. Named for its expansive windows, this home provides breathtaking sunsets, panoramic lake views, and access to year-round deep water, ensuring endless opportunities for fishing, swimming, and boating during any season.

With its central location, Fishbowl Retreat is ideal for exploring nearby attractions and events. The property is just 28 miles from Auburn University, making it perfect for football weekends, graduations, or campus visits. It's only 2.1 miles from Overlook Farms, 12 miles from New Water Farms, a stunning wedding and event venue, and 11 miles from Church of the Living Waters, a popular spot for ceremonies and gatherings. For additional wedding or event options, Eclectic Warehouse is just 16 miles away and offers a unique and charming setting.


This spacious retreat comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. The main floor features a luxurious king bedroom with an en-suite shower and tub. Upstairs, you'll find a queen bedroom, a double bedroom with two beds, and two futons in the living area. Each upstairs bedroom includes a private shower and commode, plus a separate sink and vanity.


The open-concept kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, including two refrigerators, a cooktop oven, a microwave, a Keurig coffee maker, an air fryer, and more—ideal for preparing family meals or entertaining friends. A stacked washer/dryer adds convenience for extended stays.


Outside, enjoy the wraparound deck with stairs leading to a private boathouse and floating dock. Fishbowl Retreat offers easy access to local conveniences, such as Dollar General in Walnut Hill (10 minutes away) and the Lake Martin Grocery Store (15 minutes away). Dadeville's Renfroe's Market is just 25 minutes away for a broader selection of groceries. For shopping, head to Opelika and Auburn, where you'll find Walmart, Sam's Club, Kroger, and Publix.

Fishbowl was amazing

We had an incredible stay at Fishbowl! The location was absolutely fantastic—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The home itself was beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, and well stocked with everything we could possibly need.Communication with the host was smooth and easy, which made check-in and planning a breeze.The highlight for the kids (and honestly, the adults too) was fishing off the dock at night—they had an absolute blast!Highly recommend!
