Escape to our Dahlonega retreat, nestled off Black Mountain Road amidst Cherokee National Forest and historic Yahoola Creek, part of the North GA Gold Rush. Just 6.8 miles from Downtown, explore wineries on the 'Georgia Wine Highway' or hike the Chattahoochee National Forest right outside.

Sleeps 10: 2 King, 2 Queen, 1 Double with Pullout Single. With nature-inspired decor, our mountain home exudes charm. High wooden ceilings and ample windows fill the space with natural light.

Relax in the living area with an L-shaped couch, flat-screen TV, and fireplace overlooking the meadow and creek.

The fully equipped kitchen boasts granite countertops and essential appliances for easy meal prep. Seating for 8 at the dining table and additional seating in the formal living room and kitchen.

Main floor master with his-and-her closets, sinks, walk-in shower, and garden tub. Two queen rooms share a bathroom. Top floor offers a private queen room with its own bathroom and walk-in shower.

Enjoy serene views and crisp mountain air. Hike trails, explore Yahoola Creek, and visit Dahlonega's shops, restaurants, and wineries.

Spectacular property with lovely view

I gifted my children and grands a mini-vacay for Christmas and picked this treasure as our lodging. We absolutely loved this beautiful home with an exceptional creek view. Check in was a breeze and there was plenty of room for all of us to be together or have a little privacy. Everything we needed or wanted was provided! We were about 6 minutes from downtown Dahlonega and about 25 minutes from all the fun in Helen. I will definitely book again during the summer so the children can picnic on the lawn and enjoy the creek. Don't think twice, this is absolutely the family getaway you're looking for!

Excellent Property Great Location

This is a gorgeous property in an excellent location with a gorgeous view! My family and I had a wonderful relaxing time in this thoughtfully stocked, well cared for, bear themed cabin. Definitely recommend!

Spacious beautiful mountain home

Our family enjoyed staying in this spacious mountain home during fall break - loved the bear theme. The home is well stocked with kitchen appliances (best of any past rental), has spacious rooms and nice bathrooms. The screened in deck overlooks a big backyard that goes down to a flowing creek with a fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The porch downstairs has a swing which was nice. We enjoyed the ping pong table and other games that were provided. We enjoyed shopping in Dahlonega and neighboring towns, hiking to the waterfalls, panning for gold in the stream and the beautiful mountains - convenient for lots of activities. We would certainly like to return at a future date. Had a great time! Thanks for sharing this beautiful home with us.

Beautiful Spot in the country

The property lived up to expectations and lies in a beautiful location. Accomodation fully met our family needs. The property is a little off the main road and is a secluded quite location. Well appointed with all the amenities we required. Would recommend this property for a family getaway.

Wedding weekend

Our family of 10 from Pennsylvania and California stayed here for a Labor Day wedding. The house was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need. There was plenty of room and the screened in porch was a great place to relax with a morning coffee. The house is in a very private location and yet close to anything you may need. Highly recommended.

Better than advertised

This vrbo looked nice enough online, but they need better photos-it is wonderful. The home is spacious, beautifully decorated, fully stocked with extra linens and towels, has a perfect screened in porch to listen to a babbling brook at the bottom of the hill. There is also National Forest on two sides, a path to the creek and on into the forest to a small waterfall. Simply lovely!!

Perfect Getaway in Country

Everything was as pictured. Seemed bigger than what it looked like in pictures! My kids loved being on the creek. It was very nice the amount of bathrooms so every group had their own. Beautiful and peaceful view.

Siblings Birthday retreat

My husband and I rented this exceptional home for a birthday retreat with his four siblings along with their spouses. The home was exceptional in location and size. Cousin reunion

This property was wonderful to have our girl cousin reunion. It was stocked with everything needed and the home was just as described.The host made the process very easy and we all had a great time. One quick note, some of the beds are very high (especially for short people). A step stool would be nice. However, they were very comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Wedding Weekend Winner

Could not have asked for anything more in a “landing zone” for our daughter’s wedding. The house was perfect for our group, including us (parents of the bride) our niece/nephew and their children (junior bridesmaid, junior groomsman, flower girl) and another out-of-town friend couple. The house is perfectly matched to its “Bear” theme with great decor throughout this high-quality residence. Tons of space and easy access to the HUGE property in back that rolls its way down to the river below, including a perfect set of Adirondack chairs, encompassing an idyllic fire pit just begging to be used. No detail was spared in this terrific North Georgia retreat- and the owners ensured that every thing one might need for a stress-free stay was within arms-reach at all times. Can not say enough good things about this home- just perfect in every way. (Traveler's note: WAZE will take you to a house on the opposite side of the mountain. The homeowner at that house is super-sweet, but if you want to avoid meeting her, use Apple Maps)

Excellent space!

5 bedrooms with excellent privacy and space! Comfortable beds and furnishings. This did not feel like a rental property, but more like a home. Plenty of space indoors and outdoors! Beautiful views! Loved the huge backyard with river/creek frontage. No neighbors within sight! We will always check here first when staying in the area! Thanks!

Fantastic House!

The house was perfect for our annual ladies weekend away. It was very clean, the kitchen was well appointed and the mattresses were very comfortable. The location is convenient to Dahlonega and the wineries. We have been renting houses for over twenty years for our annual (girls trip) this was one of the best, very cozy! Perfect Long Weekend

We rented this lovely house for our family to stay for our son’s wedding in Dahlonega. The home was perfect in that it was roomy, clean, and felt like home while we were busy with wedding related fun. We cooked dinner one night and breakfast one morning, and found the kitchen to be very well stocked. Location is less than 15 minutes from Dahlonega, and is very secluded and quiet. Chris was very helpful in answering questions. We hope to return for another stay!

Don't hesitate on this great place!

A+++ Privacy and plenty of room to breathe here, inside and out! The backyard is like your own huge private park, complete with an impressive creek, picnic table, hiking trail and more. The photos only hint at how expansive the backyard really is. On the inside, due to the excellent layout of the three master bedrooms and other bedrooms, you never feel cramped in -- there's plenty of space for large families or groups. The comfortable screened-in back porch overlooks the park-like backyard and is a nice place to have morning coffee or to just relax. There are big screen TVs throughout the home and we enjoyed the inside cornhole set-up in the basement. The owners thought of everything and skimped on nothing. Honestly, we've never rented a more well-appointed home, including the super well-stocked kitchen. We even got great interior design ideas from the fantastic tile work in the bathrooms. We reached out to the owners with a question and they were very prompt to respond. The quaint mountain town of Dahlonega is just minutes away with plenty of restaurants and shops, plus there's a Walmart and other familiar stores nearby. Even better, there's great fishing and hiking throughout the area. All in all, this is a top-notch place to stay and we absolutely, definitely plan to come back!

Memorable Family Gathering

Three generations of our family had a great time at Chris's nature retreat. The house was clean, roomy and comfortable with plenty of modern conveniences in a beautiful remote natural setting. We enjoyed hiking, mining for gold and gems at the nearby Crisson Gold Mine, board games and puzzles, and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature from the large screened porch. North Georgia Mountain Splendor!!

This property rental was absolutely perfect for our family trip to the area!! It was inviting from the listing! Upon arrival we found it to be even more welcoming!! It was truly like walking into a home away from home. We were able to settle the family in within an hour to start enjoying all this location had to offer. We were able to unpack and having dinner in Dahlonega with our other local family within a couple of hours. Shopping for groceries and necessities the next day at walmart and dollar stores which were only 10 minutes away yet the property was tucked in to the mountains that you would never feel like it was this close to everything. The owner was responsive to all our inquiries in a timely manner and to our satisfaction. Everyone was in the creek on the property and panned for gold. We had a wonderful bonfire and cookout. The house was well appointed to get us through all our days there. If venturing out the area has something for everyone. Tubing, Restaurants, Tourist attractions, North Georgia Outlets in Dawsonville, Lake Lanier, Dahlonega shopping and food fare and we even did the Dahlonega Ghost Tour, Helen, Georgia is another wonderful place to visit. We visit this area every year and we are lucky to have found this home!! Many thanks to the owner for sharing this gem with us... We may not have found a nugget..but we definitely struck gold. We would definitely love to come stay at this property again and again!! Thanks for having us!! :)

One of the best VRBO's in North Georgia

We have rented nearly a dozen houses in North Georgia and I would have to say this has to be one of the best. The property is feels very "remote" for being so close to Dahlonega. No neighbors to speak of and you have a great section of river to fish and swim in. The backyard is huge which our dogs loved playing in. The house is very spacious and the five bed rooms are all very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed and the living room/kitchen area was roomy enough for our party of nine. I really can't say enough good things about the property and we will definitely be back!
