“This was a great little place to stay for the night we were in Ocala! I do wish the stairs were noted in the description as they are very steep and having the door lock so low presented a little bit of a challenge with our young kids but overall it was a lovely place with a great location and lots to do!”

“This location was exactly as discribed. It was cozy and comfortable. Private, quiet and in a safe neighborhood. Pool was clean and right outside the door! Shower was very small and probably not handicap accessible. But the water was hot and there was a great showerhead (2 of them).Bed was soft and comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets, pillows and towels. There is surprising amount of storage for an old house. Thanks for breakfast, that was a nice touch. ”

“Vrbo lists this as a one bedroom one bath. In reality it’s a studio in a small house that’s been poorly converted to a duplex. The walls are thin. You’ll hear almost everything the other tenants are doing. They also share one alarm system so every time the other tenant opens their doors you hear the system chime. It was poorly converted and only 1/2 of the already small space is air conditioned. This is not a locally owned property. They required me to download a completely different app for……

“Older home, in/near Historic District. Great stay, everything we needed, walkable to downtown. Perfect for our getaway. Kudos to the property owner, property is close to 100 years old but perfectly suitable as a short or long term rental. Well done. ”

“We were looking for an apartment-type rental for 3 weeks in the Ocala area and the Downtown Retreats fit the bill. The apartment was sufficiently spacious and comfortable and stocked with the basics for our stay. We never heard noise from the other units, but you are near two hospitals and a nursing home so there were sirens, but not loud enough to be a bother. The several times I reached out to Denise, she replied right away. We will stay here again without hesitation when we return to the……
