Come relax on the beach in this newly built waterfront home with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico! Built in 2020, this spacious beach house offers a great spot for your next family vacation or beach getaway, where guests can enjoy grilling and dining on the partially covered deck while listening to the waves break on the beach. All bedrooms are on the same floor, with the master bedroom (featuring a king bed) sharing an adjoining full bathroom with one of the guest bedrooms with a queen bed. Across the way, the second two bedrooms each feature queen beds and have a full bathroom set between them. There's room for everyone in this beach home, including the family dog!

What's nearby:
Grab a beach towel and just step out the back door-you're that close to the beach! This home is also less than four miles from delicious dining options such as Reel Deal BBQ, Islanders, Beached Cafe, and more! Take a day and take a trip on the ferry to visit Fort Morgan Historic Site, which offers more nature areas, a boat launch, picnic area, and beaches for visitors to enjoy. Isle Dauphine Golf Club offers challenging holes in a casual atmosphere, just under five miles away.

Outdoor meals!

Great location - be sure you have 4WD or AWD

Great place, clean, beautiful views. We’d read about the occasional flood issue, hoped for the best. But one morning we woke to find our vehicle flooded and buried up to the wheel wells. Had large waves that broke through the sand barrier. Had a devil of a time getting it out, then spent most of the next day at the car dealer giving it a once-over to ensure no damage from people helping us pull it out. Property mgt called long after flooding started to warn us about it. We had to keep our car a mile or so away to avoid further flooding. So we felt trapped for a few days since we didn’t have our minivan. Otherwise, great stay - not owner’s or property mgt’s fault, just saying be *very* careful of weather if you have a vehicle with low ground clearance. This flooding issue, including too-late warning call from property mgt, is the reason for 4 and not 5 stars.

Great House

This house is very nice. It's on the ocean side and right on the beach (no houses in front of it obstructing the view or access). It's just what we wanted. Many listings say they are "on the beach". But, be careful. Those listings may have several houses between you and the ocean. Or, they may be on the Bay side. This house is not. It's on the beach. Great outdoor deck. Watched the sun rise and set every day while watching the waves come in.

Amazing!

The view was so great! We watched the sunset from the back deck every night. The house was well laid out and the linens and furniture pretty and comfortable. There are no curtains in the living room, which is kind of bothersome when you're trying to watch t.v but we were there to see what was outside so no big deal here. We spoke to several neighbors and did a few excursions and just had the best time. Relaxation is what we wanted and that's what we got!

Excellent Property!

The ONLY reason this review has a four star overall rating is because of a small incident we had with a construction crew at the property repairing the back steps/deck from Hurricane Ida. Obviously this was not something to be avoided…our only complaint was that we weren’t notified prior to arrival that they would be there during our trip and we had our two young grandchildren. The noise made it difficult for them to take naps and our daughters were a bit nervous to go down to the beach when husbands were not there. However, as soon as I spoke with Vanessa at Vacasa, she contacted the property owner and they were quick to have the construction crew postpone the repairs, resulting in a wonderful experience! The property was beautiful and immaculate, and you could not have asked for a better location! Our family had a wonderful time and we will be back!

Making family vacation memories

We had a great family vacation. The house was incredible. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 6 children. The bunk bed situation was wonderful. 2 double beds and 2 single bed bunks were great. Would have been nicer had all the beds been king size. Each room size could handle a king bed. The beach access right out the back door was more than you could ask for. Our family is already planning our next visit. The outside swing was great for the adults. Would have been nice to hang up single swings for the children. Communication with the manager was wonderful. Thanks for the fun memories

Family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation. The bedding was nice. The deck was fantastic. The covered porch allowed you to enjoy the rainy days. The kitchen did not seem to be fully equipped for a party of 9. The toaster was not functional.

So many great things and some frustrating things

The house itself is comfy, incredibly clean and decorated beautifully. There were 12 of us (me, my husband, our kids and grandkids) staying … plenty of sleeping space and super comfortable beds and plenty of bedding! Loved it! The downside was the sargassum. It was 10-12 ft wide and 3-8 inches deep and the entire length of the beach … we called to see if the house management or the city had a plan in place to remove it as all of the properties that we have rented in other beach communities do have a process in place and it is removed daily. The management company said that they did not but would call the city. We heard nothing else and nothing was removed or cleaned up so the beach was virtually inaccessible during most tides because our choice was to sit in the trash and smell or if the tide was out, sit in front of it and still smell it. Not to mention it was filled with dangerous items/litter for our grandkids to potentially step on or trip over and in full view as we tried to enjoy the view … there was also a disgusting smell to parts of it as it dried. We had to move to other parts of the beach and spent time at the public beach on the bayside. We have never dealt with SO much sargassum and then to not have it removed made it almost impossible to enjoy the beach which is a big part of why we rented on Dauphin Island. Lastly, the house is marketed to sleep 12 and as I mentioned above, it does and is incredibly comfortable but that is where the accommodations for 12 people ends. There aren’t enough utensils for 12 people to eat at the same time. The table doesn’t seat 12 and even if you add the four barstools at the kitchen counter, it still only accommodated 10 for a meal. The bowls for preparing meals are small as well and hard to cook for 12 people without having literally every dish in the kitchen dirty. In spite of the beach challenges and the kitchen / meal accommodations, the house is beautiful and comfortable.

Serene Stay

The house was as described and looked exactly like the photos. You cannot beat the overview and the incredible sunsets! I noticed a few people complained about the drive way. We didn't find this to be an issue. It was more than wide enough for sharing with the house next door. The kitchen could use some plastic cups and plates. There were a few for toddlers but nothing for the older kids. Also the toaster needs to be replaced. We made it work so not a big deal. It would be nice if the house came with some beach chairs and games. There isn't much to do on the island so be prepared to just relax. Overall a lovely experience, would rent it again.

Stunning house and view

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea La Vie. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated. It was immaculately clean. Listing says 4 parking spaces in the drive but that is shared with the neighbors so don't count on more than two. As of right now there is no way to park under the house either. Otherwise everything is absolutely as beautiful as described/pictured if not more so. The management was really nice/helpful and responsive to our needs. We would love to stay here again.

Excellent Property and Location

This is one of the nicer, if not nicest, rental property we have stayed in. Very clean with modern appliances and conveniences. The location is awesome. Nice beach front with plenty of space for your chairs, umbrellas, blankets, etc. While we stayed in January, we have already reserved a week in July for the entire family. Property management was awesome. The grill did not work when we arrived which was a bummer. Maintenance showed up the next day, confirmed it was not repairable, and promptly replaced it with a new one. Awesome. Thanks to Tracy and the local Dauphin Island management team. While I would selfishly like to keep this experience quiet to ensure I can book it again in the future, the owner and management team deserve to be rewarded for an outstanding rental experience.

Wow the water is close!

This is a great property. The water is only feet away - the tide really doesn't move the water level much so it's fine. The ocean just fills the entire view. Great deck with outside seating and a big table inside. We had a great stay.
