Relaxing Getaway Among the Trees - 4 Bedroom - Dogs Welcome!

Bring the whole family for a quiet, relaxing getaway tucked away in the most peaceful spot on the island. Conveniently located in the center of the village. A few minutes away from the beach, restaurants, and shops. Take a short walk to Pelican Pub, Dockside Seafood Restaurant, the Lighthouse Bakery, Miguel's, Beach Planet, the many activities at Green Park, mini golf, basketball courts, a skate park, and so much more.

Our home offers large, comfortable front and back porches, well-suited for relaxation and enjoying the gentle breeze. Enjoy time together in the family area below the house, offering a propane grill, table and chairs, & a hammock to relax.

Well equipped, inviting kitchen perfect for family conversation and memory making. The large island has 4 chairs for dining and an additional kitchen table allows for additional seating. The kitchen opens to a comfy family room to watch TV, play games, or relax on the reclining couches. We offer DirecTV, including NFL Sunday Ticket on a large smart TV that allows you to log into your favorite streaming app (Netflix, Hulu, etc).

The home comfortably sleeps a total of 9 people.

Memorial Day stay
We came over for a Memorial Day weekend. We had the best time. The home was filled with everything we needed. We had a 14 month old and he had a great time. The house has nice beds, bathrooms supplies, a very well equipped kitchen. with just about anything you would need. We stayed at a private beach the host told us about. She sent us a message to go to the police dept at the end of the street and get a free parking pass for our stay. It was good for the private beaches. Police were very kind and gave us a map of all the private beaches and a map of the island. It was just a very small walk to the private beach once we parked. Parking at public beaches is 10$ per day per car. We rented a golf cart online and it arrived shortly after we arrived. It was nice to ride the island on a street legal cart. The house had umbrellas and beach chairs we took to the beach, which helped with the baby. We had a great time in this house. Just a small drive to anything you want to do and restaurants. This house is not beach front, it sits in town on a very quiet road. A small drive to the beaches. It was a great experience for all of us. Especially my baby Grandson! He LOVED the waves coming in. We sat at the water front. It was a relaxing weekend for all.

Great place to stay
Just a couple minutes from both east and west beaches, along with a 30 minute ferry ride to gulf shores. Very nice owners, got back to questions within minutes. They are very knowledgeable of the area which helped. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The place was very clean, great layout for our group! Loved front and back porches! Just wanted to inform owners about a few things: 5 bicycles, only 1 useable Opened Condiments found in refrigerator (we did not use them) Could not find washing detergent to start load of towels upon checkout as requested. Loved the stay!!

Nice house in quiet neighborhood
The home had everything we needed and was comfortable. Location was good. Would have given 5 stars for cleaning; however, the fridge had a terrible fish smell from previous guests. I believe cleaning staff worked on this because there was strong bleach smell when we first arrived, but fish smell was stronger! This was our only issue in otherwise great stay.

Perfect Getaway

A perfect vibe for our hive.
Monica’s place was cozy and accommodating, I couldn’t her quick replies whenever we reached out. Everyone had just the right space and the kitchen worked well for our group of 7. We loved the downstairs area for grilling and eating after a long day at the beach.

Wonderful place!
Clean and cozy. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of extras - bikes, beach umbrella, beach chairs, propane grill, etc. Monica is prompt to respond to questions, gives super helpful advice and is so generous! It was fun to have our dog with us. We found the island to be very dog friendly, just as Monica said. Would’ve loved to stay longer!

Great place for R&R
After narrowing our search to a place on the beach or Island Hideaway which was more centrally located but nestled in the trees, we chose Island Hideaway and we were glad we did. The description of the property was accurate. Each bedroom was comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms were clean, and the living room was a great area to sit and relax after a busy day at the beach or exploring the island and surrounding area. Monica was a wonderful host and always quick to to respond to questions. The only slight negative was seeing food items in the refrigerator and pantry, and the fridge was not entirely clean. I would much rather see a clean empty fridge and pantry than leftover condiments, crackers, etc. from previous renters (hence the 4 on cleanliness). Just a little glitch in an otherwise wonderful stay!

An old friend and I met up here for 3 nights. We had the best time. The house had everything we needed and was clean. Both of us kept saying how relaxing it was to stay there. Wonderful home
This lovely rental home was the best choice for our stay in Dauphin Island. The photos were true and accurate representation – the home was very clean, tastefully decorated, nicely furnished, and the beds were comfortable. There were ample linens and basic supplies, and even stocked up items such as spices and coffee/filters. The welcome basket was a wonderful treat as well-thank you! The location was perfect, with restaurants and shops within walking distance. The house offered a peaceful respite for us after each day of exploring the Island. And for this avid birder, the birding hot spots were conveniently close by. However, the home itself was also a great place to view migrating birds (tanagers, warblers, vireos, etc). But the best surprise was the personal, “up-close” view of the great blue heron rookery atop the tall pines out the back yard! Several of the nests already had chicks and it was wonderful to have front row seat viewing from the back deck of one of nature’s wonders. Monica was a fantastic host. She answered our questions promptly, and even went beyond when we had to unfortunately cut short our vacation by a day. She made the whole rental process a breeze, from beginning to end, which made our entire vacation experience a very pleasant and memorable one. Thank you so much for renting out your beautiful home, and we hope to return next year!
