“Last minute trip to get away for some weekend fun. Weather was cold and rainy, and I spent an evening in the hospital after getting knocked out whitewater rafting. Not my idea of fun. However, the cabin, ambience, hospitality, and friendly community made this one of my favorites of all time. My bird dogs also had the time of their lives!!!”

“This cabin was just as advertised, and perfect for our family. We were looking for some winter isolation, and found it at the Outpost. The fireplace was great, the arrangement was perfect for family games in front of the fire or at the table, the kitchen had what we needed, and the beds were comfortable. The owners were very responsive to a few questions we had, and we enjoyed saying hello to their two very friendly dogs who stopped by. We would stay there again, summer or winter.”

“This is a beautiful house in a gorgeous area! The host is very friendly and gracious, and so are the locals. We could not have asked for better accommodations while in the area - everything we needed for a wonderful vacation was already here when we arrived. “It is not fancy, but great for the price for a short get away close to lots of hiking for me and my dog.Check in and check out were easy. I noticed a problem with the oven, but didn’t need to use it for the stay, and they were nice enough to wait to send somebody until check out day to come fix it. Internet and TV were easy to use. There was a nice intro packet to the area.Biggest complaint would be that there is no privacy barrier between the hot tub and the main road. I was looking forward to……

“Just as described..quaint, charming historic tavern/restaurant along National road. We arrived in time to catch a last serving on a Sunday evening. Food was delicious—Service was terrific! Our check in could not be smoother-used electronic—and hostess was as welcoming as can be ! The floor plan was unique yet easy to follow—the complimentary cafe/bistro hallway was ideal for hot/cold soft beverages andnicely supplied quick b’fast to go in the am. Only issue would be if you have……

“The only complaint is that the jets in the right side of the hot tub didn’t work. Otherwise everything was clean, easy and overall a great stay! Would use again! ”

“The house was plenty big to have room and spread out with different groups of people. The couches do need replaced. But overall, we had a wonderful time. Would love to come back again!”
