It’s not a cabin (it’s not rustic at all) it’s a “tiny house” of clean contemporary decor and the amenities…just shrunk. The house is right next to the owner’s house, which was a little concerning when I first pulled up, but I never heard any one and only saw the owners on a couple occasions. “Overall the stay was pretty good. We were visiting the area for a family reunion, and my family is huge and loud, so it was really nice to have a quiet spot to come home to. I loved the quiet, the house was very quaint and cute, nearest neighbors were close enough to see but too far to hear. Plenty of space for us to stretch out. Hubby loved sitting on the patio watching the wildlife and fireflies, me not so much, lol. That was the only negative for me; the bugs...it was manageable, but if youre……

“This home was perfect for us and extended family. With 4 bedrooms, we all had our own space. Jennifer was always quick to reply, easy to talk with, and very accommodating. The dock and water gear were perfect with a private cove to swim in. It felt like we had the whole lake to ourself. I would definitely stay again!”

“I'm not even sure I can think of anything negative to say about this place, especially considering some of the other places we've rented before. They have nearly everything you could need in the kitchen (except cold condiments LOL but that would be weird maybe...) The location is amazing, especially if you're planning to go tubing down the Dan River. It's great for small kids since there's only 1 floor and no stairs inside. “Two of our children actually got sick on our trip so we spent a lot of time in the house. Such a charming living space with antiques, and a lovely old world feel. It’s a cozy little getaway that makes you feel like it’s a home away from home.The owner was very kind and prompt with replies.We have family nearby and look forward to booking again on our next trip. ”

“Nellie’s log cabin is a real gem! Nestled in the woods on a working farm, this cabin is surrounded by beautiful hardwoods and faces a picturesque pond. It is peaceful and quiet and there is no traffic noise- only the sounds of birds, bullfrogs and chirping crickets. It is very close to Hanging Rock State Park. The hostess is extremely responsive and very helpful with any questions or concerns and the cabin upon arrival was absolutely spotless. This was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed!……
