Great Stay

Alan was super easy to communicate with. It’s a lovely home and lovely neighborhood. My family and I enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. The basketball hoop in the front of the house was great as well. All the accommodations worked well. Would def stay there again!

Colorado Home

The property was exactly as advertised. Pictures explained the situation and the property. There are stairs to enter the property so this might be difficult for older renters. This is an older home but the sinks and bathrooms have been updated. Kitchen was used but we did not cook a lot at the place. Oven and stove both worked and refrigerator and freezer worked as well.I was impressed by the cleanliness of the property. Fresh towels and sheets on the bed. This is always an concern and was nice to have. Place was clean, no evidence of prior renters.Landlord on property was both good and bad. Very nice person and clearly vested in the property. Did not interfere with the rental but always a concern. Was clearly described on the web site that owner lived on property.

A Comfortable Place to Call Home

We traveled up to Denver to reunite my brother with his dog, whom we had been fostering, after he spent a year abroad. I looked for a place that would accept dogs, as I wasn't sure exactly when the reuniting would take place. We found this home to be comfortable and pleasant, and Alan was an excellent and friendly host. The reunion was joyous, and I'll treasure the video I took of it in this home's front entryway forever. We plan to return, to visit both my brother and his dog, and would love to stay here again.

Just What Was Needed

While visiting Denver we needed to add a Lakewood location at a moments notice. Like, next day check-in. Alan's 3/2 home was very comfortable, clean and fully stocked. His communication and customer service was off the charts. Woke up following a 4-inch overnight blizzard to see him clearing the snow off of my car. That is characteristic of our experience. Backyard and the "lake" neighborhood were both appealing. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Stay at Alan’s Place!

My friends and I had a fantastic stay at Alan’s rental. The property matched the description perfectly, and the location was incredibly convenient. Delightful Stay — Denver

Such a lovely house filled with love and gorgeous BOOKS! Every inch was immaculate, and that back yard! Paradise. We walked in and felt like we were home. The neighborhood is a quiet gem tucked away but also very convenient to everything! Our host, Alan is such a kind soul and we felt like we had known him forever. We will definitely be back! I simply cannot say enough good things about our experience.

Beautiful Backyard!

We were in town for graduation from Colorado Christian University so chose the house because of the location and the beautiful backyard. The host Alan who lives in the basement on the property greeted us and was friendly. I’ve never stayed in a VRBO or somebody was on site so at first it was a little strange but we forgot about it after a while. The Small lake that is nearby has a beautiful walking trail around it. The fire pit in The backyard and seating area there was very nice. The decorations were eclectic if that’s your thing. We would’ve preferred more hangers in the closet and dish towels in the kitchen but overall the stay was very nice.

having the home to yourself

i always hear vrbo commercials say, you always have the whole place to yourself. not the case in this situation. i assumed the location would be as vrbo advertises, without the host. i made the mistake of assuming this, and in actually the host lives in the basement. i should have read the description better because it clearly states the host lives in the basement. i am bothered at the fact that VRBO claims to have "host free" locations when they actually don't. seems like false advertisement. i would not have chose this location if i would have read every detail of the description. also i did not like the fact that i was going through VRBO and then another 3rd party called Evolve. seemed a little complicated to me. i might just use the other BNB next time or get a hotel. the host introduced himself upon arrival and was very kind and cordial. this is not a jab against him.

Denver Thanksgiving

Since it's too inefficient to get to our town via air travel for a long weekend, we drove over the Rockies with our dog to meet our two young adult children, who both live in other states, and their significant others in Denver for Thanksgiving. This home was a good fit for us with its large yard for the pup and many lovely parks, lakes, and hiking (walking) areas within a reasonable distance. We had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Alan was wonderfully communicative for any of our needs and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Great basecamp for many activities

Nice homey stay centrally located to accomodate Red Rocks hiking and concert, state park for paddle boarding, and dinners down town. Only four of us - so didn't need large gathering space. The sitting room was only at kitchen table but super nice yard space.
