Nice interior, nice management, nice view and the breakfast is very nice. But the improvements maybe add more direction guide for which We arrived at east midland parkway station.

Great hotel andbonly minutes from East Midlands Airport, but...
I travel a lot and the prices charged for food and drink are more appropriate for a Radisson in London, than somewhere off the M1. Felt like a rip off, which is a shame as rest of experience was great

When we arrived we were checked in by a quirky gentleman who told us for our other booking he couldn't allocate a room close by in advance but I could come come down in the morning and do it. Our room had lots of stains on the walls, headboards, bedding etc and I asked for an email address to send my concerns to, however my request was ignored. The room was on the cold side, In the morning I had the delight of dealing with an( I assume) untrained member of staff. Who allocated the room next to ours for my grandmother, we pre-paid the Parking and she said we could check in later. When we went to check in, the room was not allocated to us and my grandma was on the same floor but not next to us despite this being on the pre-booking, mentioned when we checked in and being confirmed. Anyway, The cleaner scared the life out of my grandma at 8 in the morning when she just walked into her room. The parking was not updated with her car reg despite it being provided so we couldn't leave the carpark and had to buzz ( still expecting a ticket through the post) then there was the 12 GBP glass of wine, the steamroom that smelled like pee and my further requests to discuss with someone via their site were completely ignored, leaving me no option but to review publicly. The gentleman that dealt with my grandma's second check-in was funny and amicable which is why it is 2* not 1* as he seemed to try. Nice hot chocolate provided though; only two in total from all the days and both rooms. Odd!
