“We were able to walk a few yards from our bnb to a trail to a pretty little beach surrounded by cliffs and rock formations. I sat there expecting to see a tall masted ship from Treasure Island sail around the corner and drop anchor!This village has less than 30 residents, but a rich history.The cottage is 200 years old, but updated with all modern fixtures and amenities. The showers are great.”

“Very nice medium size house in a nice suburb. Very convenient location. Owners answered the phone for a simple question. Very comfortable and would stay here again ”

“There is not much going on in Fermoy, but it is possible to drive to some major attractions such as the national park if you don’t mind a bit of a drive. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, but it is very small and the beds are listed as queens. If you are coming from America, please note this means full. Not a lot of room for suitcases, but the listing clearly stated how small it was. Overall acute little place, but not really in a destination spot.”

“Absolutely stunning property and beautiful renovated barn. The front “main” room is gorgeous with the stone walls and candles everywhere. Truly creates a magical ambiance that warms the heart. Liz is an absolute gem! She explained everything and gave so many suggestions as to where to go in the area. Very low key way to relax. ”

“This was the perfect location for our “home” base. We just chose a spot and drove to it. Puts on lots of miles and made amazing memories!!”

“If you want a taste of true rural Ireland, this is the place to stay. The Thatch and the Shed are both beautiful, modern, clean and highly kept up. We used this property as our home base for day trips to Kilkenny, Callan, Waterford, Wexford, Glendalough, Blarney Castle, and Kilarney. ”
