“Late flight, land, receive email saying we have to pay HK$29,414 deposit at check-in... Hotels usually place a pre-approval on your credit card, but HK$29,414 is AU$5,300! And must be actually paid, not pre-approved. Arrive 11:30pm, Myself, my wife, 2 children under 10, room booked accordingly. Told they are NOT a hotel, but serviced apartments, we are expected to sign a "lease" and pay 1 month deposit, which we get back 3 WEEKS after check out!!! Ridiculous! Argue for an hour,……
