“This property is not 'posh' but it is absolutely perfect for a large family or group gathering. There is masses of space for cooking, eating and socialising and sitting outdoors. The setting of the cottage is second to none - surrounded by the fabulous New Forest and the giant redwoods of the Rhinefield Ornamental Drive. There are lots of walking and cycling trails immediately accessible from the property. We took our youngsters out on a dusk walk on the first night we arrived and they saw deer,……

“This is a beautiful space with everything you might need (other than a toaster!) The bed is very comfortable and the garden in front completely private with lovely comfortable garden chairs to enjoy the sunshine and a table for outdoor eating. Parking is right outside the gate to your little garden and the area is a delight to explore. You do hear the noise from the road at night because the bed is effectively against the hedge on the boundary but it's a village road not a main one. Would only……

“We enjoyed three days in the shepherd’s hut. It had everything we needed and the hot tub was great. We travelled by train and enjoyed the 15 minute walk from the station down a country path. The views from the hut were lovely and the kids enjoyed seeing the pigs and horses on the farm. ”

“The cottage was a home away from home for our stay in the New Forest. Burley is a picturesque area with local shops and pubs a 5 minute walk away. Easy to get around to other towns, cycling and walking trails. Would recommend.”

“Our stay was great. Never stayed in a holiday home that had room proportions of this home! The only reason I gave 4 stars for the overall rating was that on the first morning, we had no hot water. However, impressed by the way that this was resolved within a couple of hours as it required an emergency call out for a plumber in a bank holiday weekend.”
