“We went to Guatemala with our family of 3 young children (9, 5, 2), my mother, and my sister and her husband. This place was absolutely perfect. We could easily walk to town to explore and take lanchas (boats) to the other towns around the lake. Walking to town was a 10 minute uphill climb but very doable, or hire a tuk tuk!There is always one staff member staying on the property and they were SO helpful. Santa Cruz is a very small village on the side of the mountain, but no problem if you don't want to walk up, you can go to the lake and walk along the shore to the tuktuks and the pier for water taxis.
