At an altitude of 1,200 meters, on the southern slope of the Saualpe, lies the charming village of Diex. With more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, one can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the valleys in the region here. Hiking enthusiasts can look forward to hundreds of kilometres of marked trails - from leisurely walks to panoramic mountain tours - through forests, flowering meadows and idyllic villages.

Less than 30 minutes away is Lake Klopein, Europe's warmest swimming lake with a picturesque lakeside promenade. The calm Turnersee and the lively Wörthersee with stylish terraces, water sports and charming towns such as Velden or Pörtschach are also within easy reach. In spring, summer and autumn, the region is a paradise for cyclists and mountain bikers, with tours for all levels and the spectacular Petzen Bike Park.

In winter, ski resorts such as Weinebene, Petzen, Klippitztörl or Koralpe (all reachable in about 45 minutes by car) offer nice, quiet and small-scale ski slopes, ideal for families and beginners who want to enjoy winter in peace and quiet. Those who prefer the tranquillity of the landscape can visit the excellently maintained cross-country ski trails, which wind through forests and across open meadows, offering panoramic views every time.

In Diex and the nearby town of Völkermarkt, you will find shops, restaurants and everything you need for a relaxing and carefree holiday!
