A beautiful dated property. Had to park a fair piece away and steps to climb to get into facility and then elevator was not working, many more steps to climb. Concierge was available to take luggage to our room. Not an issue if you had no disabilities, alot of stairs for me. Buffet breakfast was great but the table cloths were all wrinkled, not a big deal but took away from the high class they are portraying. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Too many steps even if you’re on the ground floor. Steps into the hotel steps down to your first floor room many steps down to the dining room. Very disappointed with the coquilles st. Jacques I ordered. Not as you would expect. Seven pan seared scallops lined on a thin and narrow bed of course mashed potatoes. The coastal seafood bowl had few pieces of seafood and was mostly vegetables and rice. Very slow service. Took us two hours to finish our meal including an appetizer course. Buffet breakfast is $25 per person. Coffee is gratis.

We enjoyed all aspects of the resort. The golf course was great. We swam laps in the beautiful pool every day and it was wonderful. Dinners were top notch in all respects. Most importantly, the friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff were the best part of the hotel. Will definitely recommend the resort.

I was not happy that I was put in a room with a child close to the lobby on a night where there was entertainment. Even with the fire doors closed, my daughter who was exhausted by 8 didn’t get to sleep until almost 11 and was very upset those hours due to the loudness of the music. Staying there with children, the resort should consider putting families in rooms further from entertainment areas that are for adults.

Bed was very comfortable. A bit noisy but it’s an old hotel so you can hear water running etc. Although it is old it is a charming hotel. Love the lounge area and music. Staff are friendly and helpful. Free breakfast that was included was yummy. It included an omelette station. Food was tasty and lots of freshly made baked goods. The best time to arrive is around 8:00 ish otherwise later there were a lot of people waiting.

A beautiful property and old resort. While the room was nice and staff friendly, the elevator was out-of-order (and apparently had been for weeks). This made staying in the third floor less than ideal. Supper at the on-site restaurant was good, but most food tried on the complementary breakfast buffet was cold (e.g. sausages cold on the inside). Overall, a nice place, but would check for a working elevator.

Unfortunately, we were not advised prior to check in that the elevator was not functioning. We were located on the 3rd floor. This was very difficult due to physical limitations in climbing the stairs.

Pool was awesome. The rest was not great for the amount of money we spent on this place. Staff was mixed. Some tried hard but were either inexperienced or didn’t care. We will probably stay again because the kids like the pool so much. Will not spend the same next time.

Lovely property we have been visiting for 50 years. Dining room busy due to staffing for reservations and guests coming without. Despite that our server Elizabeth as busy as she was, was excellent as was dining reception. More attention needed for guests. Reception should recommend dinner reservations on check in. At buffet, self serve coffee and cream not refilled. Tables not busked. Outside on deck, chairs not wiped down after rain from night before. Attention to details needed. But would recommend
