“I stayed here with some friends to get away and do some hiking. This is a very special home. I've never stayed anywhere like it. History permeates the property and house itself. Yet you have all the modern amenities you could need. The sound of the waterfall is with you inside or outside and creates a very peaceful environment. “Really enjoyed our two-night stay in the mountains on our way to Kiawah Island for a golf trip. First night - played cards on the back porch listening to the Chuck-Will’s Widows calling to each other. Perfect! The cabin is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and just the right size for a couple’s getaway. It is located on a peaceful road with easy access to Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks. “Nellie’s log cabin is a real gem! Nestled in the woods on a working farm, this cabin is surrounded by beautiful hardwoods and faces a picturesque pond. It is peaceful and quiet and there is no traffic noise- only the sounds of birds, bullfrogs and chirping crickets. It is very close to Hanging Rock State Park. The hostess is extremely responsive and very helpful with any questions or concerns and the cabin upon arrival was absolutely spotless. This was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed!……
